Why Democrats Will Likely Be in the Political Wilderness For a While

A few Democrats have awoken and smelled the coffee on issues like illegal immigration and alphabet ideology, seeing the progressive positions as politically toxic. 

On the former, both Governor Kathy Hochul of New York and New York City Mayor Eric Adams have both moved right on the issue, with Adams going further and embracing the “deport them now” position of the incoming Trump administration.

But overall, the Democratic Party, at least in Blue states, is going full steam ahead on pushing radical progressive policies on Americans.

The latest city to reaffirm its commitment to destroying its streets, harming its citizens, and coddling illegal migrant criminals is Boston, which routinely lets violent sexual predators who happen to be illegal immigrants back onto the streets so the can evade ICE and deportation. 

It’s like a little game for Boston, forcing ICE to seek out and capture some of the worst of the worst because they happen to be illegal aliens. It seems like half the sex criminals you hear about in Boston are illegal immigrants the city has kicked out of jail so they can stay in the country.

I’m not joking. Boston is a hotbed of migrant sex criminals being let out of jail so that ICE can’t deport them. I’ve read so many stories about it that it practically makes my head explode. 

Yet Boston’s City Council just joined Arizona, Illinois, Chicago, and other governments in vowing to fight Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants. They haven’t gone to the same extent as Denver’s Mayor, who practically declared Civil War against Trump (until he chickened out when Tom Homan said he would be happy to put him in jail.

But Boston is 100% behind sexual predators roaming the streets as long as they aren’t Americans.  It’s a form of reparations or something. 

The resolution adopted by the council states that “proposals for mass deportations represent a direct attack on Boston’s immigrant families, and threaten to tear communities apart.”

“In the face of changing federal leadership, the City of Boston must reaffirm our support for the Boston Trust Act to protect our immigrant residents,” the resolution goes on. “The City of Boston shall continue to monitor and respond to federal immigration policies that may impact its residents, reaffirming its commitment to protect immigrant communities from unjust enforcement actions and to uphold the Trust Act, recognizing that protecting the rights and dignity of all residents, regardless of immigration status, is essential for a safe and welcoming city for all.”

According to the Boston Globe, all 13 council members voted to reaffirm the Trust Act on Wednesday.

Per the Boston Globe, Council President Ruthzee Louijeune said that “as the national climate grows increasingly hostile towards immigrant communities, we must reaffirm who we are as a city.”

Progressive Democrats are 100% committed to their ideology of “decolonization,” which, in their mind, amounts to the replacement of the current population of the United States with people from other countries. It’s a bit of an odd way to accomplish this goal, of course, because most Latin Americans are at least partially descended from the Spanish, who brutally colonized much of the two Americas, and many of the migrants are from other continents.

But at least they aren’t what we consider “white.”

Mainstream Democrats have a serious problem on their hands. They have nurtured the progressive movement, kowtowed to it, and, in many cases, embraced it themselves in one form or another. Most Americans, regardless of race, gender, or religion, don’t buy into this hokum. 

Working-class Americans of any race want a better life, not an agenda based on destroying America to atone for past sins. 

Democrat elected officials, though, are mainly captured by the progressive ideology, either because they believe it or because they are afraid of offending a class of people who are, at best, obnoxious and, at worst, tend to violent outbursts. 

It will take a long time to clear these people out of the Democratic Party, if it is at all possible. There will be plenty of individual Democrats who can ride out the storm. Still, the party as a whole has developed and now cultivates an image of being anti-Western, anti-middle class, and pro-criminality.

That’s why we now hear about AOC for president and why if Democrats don’t course correct, they will face years in the wilderness as The Labour Party did from 1979-1997, after Thatcher’s victory.  It took Tony Blair to reboot the image of Labour after years of radicalism. 

Immigration is a bright red line in American politics. By staking out the pro-illegal immigration position and being willing to die on that hill, Democrats are destroying their coalition.
