Biden Admin Auctions Border Materials, Texas Makes a Bold Power Play [WATCH]

Texas is once again stepping up where the Biden administration has failed. With reports that border wall materials are being auctioned off instead of being used to protect the country, Texas officials are ready to take matters into their own hands.

The state plans to purchase these materials, store them, and have them ready to hand over when President Trump resumes office next January, as reported by Fox News.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick didn’t mince words during a recent appearance on The Ingraham Angle. “I will bid on all of that wall, and we will buy it in Texas, and we will give it to Donald Trump,” Patrick declared.

“I’ve got a billion dollars in my pocket to do it.”

Backing Patrick’s plan, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham confirmed her full support. “If you buy it, I have a place to store it — on state land!” Buckingham said.

“The [Texas General Land Office] is standing by to help!” She slammed the Biden administration’s decision to auction off border wall materials, calling it “shameful.”

The Biden administration abruptly halted border wall construction in January 2021, leaving behind unused materials and unfinished sections after President Trump had already completed 450 miles of wall. Rather than securing the border, Democrats have instead opted to sell off these critical resources.

Auctions began in 2023, with unused wall parts being listed for sale on the online marketplace GovPlanet.com. The Defense Department claims the materials were “excess” and were turned over for disposal by the Army Corps of Engineers.

Despite this bureaucratic excuse, videos published last week by The Daily Wire show wall sections being hauled away on flatbed trucks in Arizona. The sight of these unused materials being sold off while America faces record-breaking illegal border crossings has sparked outrage among Republicans and border security advocates.

President Trump, who has vowed to restart wall construction, didn’t hold back his frustration. “It’s almost a criminal act,” Trump said Monday, calling on the Biden administration to stop the auctions immediately.

A defense official tried to justify the sales, pointing to the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which required the Pentagon to submit a plan to use, transfer, or donate unused wall materials.

According to the official, 60% of those materials were given to authorized recipients, including Customs and Border Protection and border states like Texas and California.

The remaining 40% were auctioned off under a competitive sales contract starting in June 2024. Once sold, the government relinquished any legal authority over the materials.

Texas, however, isn’t backing down. The Lone Star State has already proven its commitment to border security under the current administration’s failure.

In another bold move, Texas offered 1,400 acres of state land to assist the incoming Trump administration’s planned mass deportation operations. Border czar Thomas Homan has confirmed he’s already working on plans to utilize the land efficiently.

With Biden dismantling border protections, Texas’ initiative to reclaim these materials is a powerful statement.

It’s not just about bricks and steel; it’s about a state standing firm when Washington refuses to do its job. Texas is ensuring the tools needed to secure the border are ready and waiting for a leader who will finally use them.
