Despite attempts to initiate a traffic stop, the individual, clad in a Santa suit, refused to pull over.
Dashcam footage shows the motorcyclist veering through multiple lanes and attempting to shake off the trooper in pursuit.
During the chase, the motorcyclist cut through a gas station and re-entered the main road, a maneuver that slowed the pursuing officer’s vehicle.
The chase ended with the motorcyclist disappearing from sight, leaving authorities searching for the elusive Santa impersonator.

“The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn’t pause for any cause,” the Florida Highway Patrol’s Tampa division wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Anyone that recognizes ol’ St. Nick please feel free to call *FHP (*347) and let us know!”

The suspect was last seen riding a white motorcycle with blue trim, a stark departure from the traditional image of Santa and his reindeer.
As of now, the motorcyclist remains unidentified, and authorities are continuing their search.
The motorcycle-riding Santa is not the only holiday figure making headlines for questionable behavior this season.
Elsewhere, incidents involving holiday characters have caused disruptions, highlighting a pattern of unusual holiday-related crimes.
South of the border in Mexico, a dispute between two street performers—one dressed as Santa Claus and the other as the Grinch—turned violent.
The altercation reportedly started over a tip dispute, leaving the Santa performer injured. Both men were subsequently arrested.

Florida Highway Patrol has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the motorcycle-riding Santa.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety during the busy holiday season, especially as roads become more congested and travel increases.
While the real Saint Nick is known for spreading holiday cheer, his motorcycle-riding counterpart has added a touch of chaos to the festive season.
Authorities are hopeful that with the help of public tips, they will locate the individual responsible for the high-speed chase and bring him to justice.
