Joe Rogan isn’t holding back when it comes to the left’s latest antics. On his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the fiery host blasted the perpetual trend of labeling everyone as “Hitler.”
He was responding to the absurd outrage over Elon Musk’s gesture during President Donald Trump’s inauguration earlier this week. The corporate media pounced on Musk, claiming his simple one-arm wave resembled a Nazi salute—a desperate stretch even by their standards, as reported by The Independent Journal Review.
Rogan didn’t mince words. “They always want to pretend everyone’s Hitler,” he said.
“After a while, it’s crying wolf and people are like, ‘Oh, this is a bullsh*t game you’re playing, and you’re just using it as an excuse.’”

Rogan pointed out that the left uses this tactic to silence opposing voices while justifying vile behavior.
“[It] is that people use woke ideology as an excuse to be an asshole, and it’s really just people that are a**holes that are attaching themselves to things that make them feel righteous. So they wrap themselves in this idea to give them virtue and to allow them to say the most awful things about other people that have different perspectives. Then just by nature if you’re doing that you’re doing the wrong thing. You’re a bad person.”
The outrage mob selectively circulated a cropped video of Musk, omitting the context where he said, “My heart goes out to you,” while waving to the crowd. Rogan slammed these smear campaigns, emphasizing how such behavior only erodes credibility.
“You’re just on the wrong path, period, and intelligent and aware people that have control of their emotions recognize that. They’re not going to take your perspective seriously. So you’re going to be less and less effective with what you do.”
The host’s criticism didn’t stop at Musk’s situation. Rogan also called out the broader leftist obsession with labeling political opponents as fascists or Nazis. During Trump’s presidency, Democrats routinely pushed this narrative, with figures like John Kelly, Trump’s former chief of staff, claiming Trump exhibited “fascist” tendencies.
By October 2024, Kamala Harris doubled down, labeling Trump a fascist during a CNN town hall. Joe Biden even fumbled his way through calling Trump to be “locked up” before quickly backtracking to clarify he meant “politically.”
Rogan dismissed these over-the-top attacks as counterproductive. “Whenever someone goes outside of that and whenever someone starts making horrific unfounded personal attacks because someone has a different political ideology or just going after them every day all day long, like you’re just broken.”
Rogan’s commentary highlights a growing frustration among conservatives and independents alike with the left’s hyperbolic rhetoric. When everyone is labeled a fascist, the word loses its meaning. The result? Fewer people take these accusations seriously, exposing the left’s tactics for what they are: desperate attempts to control the narrative.
