Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted in a recent interview that his country has not received even half of the nearly $200 billion in foreign aid that the United States has allocated to Ukraine since the war with Russia began.

The revelation comes as questions continue to mount over how U.S. taxpayer dollars have been spent, and as the Trump administration moves to halt further military aid to Ukraine.

According to UkraineOversight.gov, as of September 30, 2024, the U.S. had committed nearly $183 billion in response funding to Ukraine, with $130.1 billion obligated and $86.7 billion disbursed.

Congress appropriated $174.2 billion through five Ukraine supplemental appropriation acts from fiscal years 2022 through 2024.

An additional $18.2 billion was allocated from annual agency appropriations, and $1.1 billion came from other supplemental acts.

Despite these figures, Zelensky stated that Ukraine has received far less than what has been reported.

“Look, when I hear, and I heard before, and today we hear from the United States of America that America gave Ukraine hundreds of billions, 177, to be more precise. That’s what the exact figure sounded like, which was supported or voted by the Congress, etc. Look, as the President of a warring country, I tell you, we received just over 75,” Zelensky said.

He explained that much of the aid was provided in the form of military support rather than direct financial assistance.

“We got it not with money, but with weapons. We got 70-something billion-worth of it. There is training, there is additional transport, there are not only prices for weapons, there were humanitarian programs, social, etc.,” he stated.

However, Zelensky acknowledged that a significant portion of the aid remains unaccounted for.

“But when they say that Ukraine during the war received 200 billion to support the army, etc., this is not true. I don’t know where all this money is,” he admitted.

UKRAINE: What if 58% of the U.S. taxpayer dollars sent to Zelensky never even reached Ukraine? Where did it go? Did the CIA skim a cut? Did Ukrainian officials and generals pocket their share? Following concerns over the accountability of U.S. taxpayer funds sent to Ukraine, the Trump administration announced a 90-day freeze on further military aid to Ukraine.

The State Department confirmed the pause, which took effect last month when Trump returned to office.

The funding halt is expected to give the administration time to assess how previous aid was used and whether additional support aligns with U.S. national security interests.

Zelensky’s comments come amid increasing scrutiny over how U.S. aid to Ukraine has been handled.

Reports have surfaced alleging that large sums of money have been laundered through Ukraine, benefiting both Ukrainian officials and U.S. political figures.

Former Polish Minister Piotr Kulpa recently claimed that up to half of the aid sent by the U.S. was funneled through various channels and ended up in the hands of corrupt officials and American politicians.

The Gateway Pundit also reported allegations that some of the aid has been used to fund pensions for Zelensky’s government bureaucrats.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden faced criticism for prioritizing billions in aid to Ukraine while only approving $770 in federal assistance for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

With the Trump administration now reviewing Ukraine funding, questions remain over how American tax dollars were distributed under the previous administration.

The pause in military aid signals a shift in U.S. foreign policy, with a renewed focus on accountability and national interest.

As the situation develops, further investigations into U.S. spending in Ukraine may shed light on the full extent of how nearly $200 billion was allocated and whether additional measures will be taken to prevent future misuse of taxpayer funds.
