A 17-year-old male was stabbed outside Los Angeles City Hall on Friday during a weeklong protest led by students opposing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
The demonstrations, which included school walkouts, were a response to the administration’s renewed focus on immigration enforcement, a significant shift from the policies of former President Joe Biden.
According to KTLA, the violent altercation unfolded when an unidentified man approached the protest group and stabbed a demonstrator.

A witness, identified as Will, described the chaotic scene.
“I saw a man who was not part of the demonstration approach the group and just shanked a dude. I got it all on my camera and I just walked over, I told them to apply pressure, cut up some shirts, wrap them around him so it would stop the bleeding,” Will told KTLA.
Video footage shows the moment the violence erupted, with protesters marching down the street.
Later in the clip, a man is seen removing his shirt to reveal blood covering his body, while a large pool of blood is visible on the pavement.

Los Angeles police later confirmed that the victim was a Hispanic male who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
“Around 5:20 p.m., LAPD revealed that the victim was a 17-year-old male.
Officials did not immediately confirm whether he was a student,” KTLA reported.
Authorities also escorted a man away from the scene, though it remains unclear whether he has been charged.
Earlier this week, high school students in Los Angeles participated in walkouts to protest the Trump administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.
Video footage from a Wednesday demonstration shows students shouting at police officers as they attempt to clear them from a bridge.
The protests follow recent warnings from ICE officials about an increase in murder threats targeting agents and officers as deportation efforts continue.
According to Breitbart News, threats were circulated on social media and sent directly to ICE field offices as the administration ramped up immigration enforcement measures.
The surge in deportation operations comes after the Biden-Harris administration allegedly imported approximately 1.5 million illegal migrants through parole programs, Breitbart News reported on February 1.
With tensions rising over immigration enforcement, Los Angeles remains a focal point for demonstrations, and officials are closely monitoring security concerns surrounding ICE operations.
