Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is back in the headlines, and this time, it’s not for his policies or his controversial health stances—it’s for a bizarre photo featuring a lizard, a scandal-ridden comedian, and a shirtless TV doctor.

The newly appointed Health and Human Services Secretary posted the oddball snapshot on Sunday, grinning as he held up a Northern Curly Tailed Lizard while standing beside Russell Brand and Dr. Mehmet Oz, as reported by The New York Post.

Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK) appears at a rally at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Aug. 23, 2024, with former President Donald Trump after he quit the presidential race and endorsed Trump.

“Northern Curly Tailed Lizard with Russell Brand & Dr. Oz,” Kennedy, 71, captioned the picture. Because nothing says responsible leadership quite like a reptile cameo.

Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans

The lizard in question is native to Cuba, the Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas, but was introduced to Florida in the 1940s—much like the modern-day swamp creatures in Washington.

Kennedy, however, doesn’t just dabble in political wildness; his history of strange animal encounters is practically a sideshow in itself.

Just days before his latest stunt, Kennedy was officially sworn in as HHS Secretary by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

And if that wasn’t enough headline fodder, President Trump tapped Dr. Oz—yes, the same Oz who fumbled his 2022 Senate bid—to lead the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Quite the reunion.

Russell Brand, 49, best known for starring in the 2011 remake of “Arthur” and for his past life as a progressive darling, stood beside Kennedy in the picture.

Brand has recently pivoted from leftist activism to championing free speech and skepticism of establishment narratives—much to the outrage of the legacy media.

Kennedy’s peculiar wildlife antics didn’t start here. Over the summer, he made waves by admitting he once dumped a dead bear cub in Central Park as part of an elaborate prank.

That’s right—America’s top health official has a history of transporting carcasses for fun. He claimed he stumbled upon the bear while driving through Goshen, NY, on a falconry trip, proving once again that the Kennedy family doesn’t do “normal.”

And if that wasn’t enough, Kennedy’s daughter, Kathleen, once recounted a gruesome childhood memory. At just six years old, she watched her father sever the head of a dead whale, strap it to their minivan, and drive home—juices pouring in through the windows.

This charming tale of roadkill transport was shared in a 2012 interview with Town & Country magazine.

His eccentricities aside, Kennedy’s Senate confirmation was anything but smooth. With deep skepticism from both sides of the aisle, even some Republicans balked at his nomination, particularly due to his vocal opposition to vaccines.

Still, he squeaked through, with only Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) voting against him—though that says more about McConnell than it does about RFK Jr.

Kennedy’s tenure as HHS Secretary is just beginning, but if this lizard-laden snapshot is any indicator, it’s going to be a wild ride.
