I Root for Mexico and Canada Because I Hate Trump [WATCH]

Texas Democrat Representative Jasmine Crockett has openly admitted that her dislike for President Donald Trump influences her to root for sports teams from Mexico and Canada instead of the United States.

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast, Crockett told host Charlamagne Tha God that she struggles to support American teams because of the political climate under Trump.

“The fact that I’m rooting for Canada and I’m rooting for Mexico a lot is really wild,” Crockett said.

She justified her stance by praising those countries, claiming they are the ones “speaking truth to power” and standing against what she called the “crazy regime from Mar-a-Lago.”

Crockett further criticized the president’s legal situation, comparing her own lack of criminal history to Trump’s recent conviction.

“If it was me, there is no way. Right now, I got no convictions, no arrests, no nothing and I will never be qualified for president in the eyes of the vast majority of them,” she stated.

“But a guy who ended up becoming a convicted felon and had other cases that were pending; he is good to go.”

This is not the first time Crockett has made controversial statements.

Earlier this month, she claimed that 80 percent of violent crime is committed by “white supremacists” and referred to Trump supporters as a “domestic terror threat.”

For someone who is supposedly well educated how did Jasmine Crockett get elected to Congress?

She has also urged black Americans to stop paying taxes unless they receive reparations.

Crockett’s remarks add to a growing pattern of incendiary rhetoric from left-wing politicians, particularly regarding Trump and his supporters.

Despite her comments, Trump remains the leading Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential race, with a strong base of support.
