Kristi Noem Reveals One of the Largest Things the DOGE Guys are Doing for America [WATCH]

At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem expressed strong support for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and their efforts to cut wasteful spending and eliminate unnecessary federal positions.

She credited the agency for helping shift power away from Washington, D.C., and back to the states, aligning with the vision of the Founding Fathers and the principles of Ronald Reagan’s federalism.

During her speech, Noem praised DOGE for reducing bloated government spending and eliminating redundant federal jobs that have accumulated over the years.

She acknowledged the agency’s role in demonstrating to the American people that an oversized federal government is not the solution to the country’s challenges.

“The DOGE guys have been extremely powerful. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for them every day, because they’re going in and digging out not just wasteful spending, but also wasteful positions that don’t need to be there anymore,” Noem stated.

She emphasized how Americans have increasingly relied on the federal government to solve problems, a trend she believes is misguided.

“A lot of times over the years, people have looked to the federal government to be the answer to their problems, and the DOGE guys are helping us teach the American people that the federal government is not the answer,” Noem continued.

“That the federal government, many times, is not the answer to the problems that they have.”

Noem used the opportunity to underscore the importance of educating Americans on the country’s founding principles.

She argued that the Founding Fathers designed a system in which power should primarily rest with the states and local governments, not an overreaching federal bureaucracy.

“We’re going back to what I want to add is an element of education in this country about our founders envisioned exactly what the DOGE guys are doing,” she said.

“They envisioned that the federal government would not be powerful. They would not be the source of authority and governance and founding, that it would be the states and the local entities that would do that.”

Noem compared DOGE’s work to the principles of Reaganism and federalism, stressing that the agency’s initiatives align with her belief in decentralized governance.

She highlighted their contributions to Homeland Security, noting how their efforts have exposed programs that should no longer exist.

“And so when they come forward with an idea in Homeland Security, I love it, because they have had the time to root out something we shouldn’t be doing,” Noem said.

“And I look back at exactly what Reaganism was, what federalism was, and show that they’re giving me an opportunity to return our country back to that.”
