Alleged CEO Killer Luigi Mangione’s Defense Website Has Surprising Request for His Fans

Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is pleading with his growing fanbase to slow down on the flood of photos being sent his way, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Despite facing first-degree murder charges and multiple gun possession counts, Mangione has amassed a bizarre following of admirers who seem more focused on his looks than his alleged crime.

His defense website recently updated its FAQ section with a new request:

“Luigi is allowed to receive photos via Shutterfly and FreePrints in accordance with mail procedures while in custody. Due to the volume of photos, they could take longer than usual to be screened and shared. Luigi appreciates the photos that are sent and kindly asks that people send no more than five photos at a time.”

Law enforcement screens every image received before they are passed along.

Despite the serious nature of his charges, Mangione has somehow been transformed into a social media spectacle. In what can only be described as a disturbing trend, many fans have openly declared their admiration for him, with some even referring to him as “too handsome” to be a murderer.

This bizarre cult-like following has even led to financial support, with The New York Post reporting that Mangione has received love letters, gifts, and donations for his legal defense, totaling a staggering $300,000 from more than 10,000 donors.

People gathered outside the Blair County courthouse for Luigi Mangione hearings on Dec. 19, 2024.

While some supporters claim they are drawn to his anti-corporate stance—arguing that his actions were fueled by outrage over the greed of the healthcare industry—the reality remains that he is facing the possibility of life in prison without parole or even the death penalty if convicted.

In a statement earlier this month, Mangione acknowledged the outpouring of support:

“I am overwhelmed by – and grateful for – everyone who has written me to share their stories and express their support. Powerfully, this support has transcended political, racial, and even class divisions, as mail has flooded MDC from across the country, and around the globe. While it is impossible for me to reply to most letters, please know that I read every one that I receive.”

Regardless of how his case plays out in court, Mangione’s ability to draw this level of attention is a stark reminder of just how bizarre and misplaced public fascination can be.

His trial date has not yet been set, but his fanbase remains as active as ever, ensuring that his name stays in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
