Former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn issued a stark warning to former FBI Director James Comey, stating that the ex-FBI chief could be facing prison time following recent whistleblower disclosures about an alleged covert operation against Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Flynn’s remarks came during an interview with Benny Johnson, where he discussed the ongoing efforts to expose alleged misconduct within the FBI.
“We got whistleblowers coming out of the woodwork and we’re funneling it into the right governmental offices to do the right thing,” Flynn said.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’
“Let me tell you, these people are busted. And so for Jim Comey, that’s what I said earlier, Jim, if you get this message, start thinking about what you’re going to give up because you’re going to give up some of your freedom because you’re going to go to jail,” he added.
Flynn’s comments follow a report detailing claims that Comey authorized an off-the-books FBI operation targeting Trump’s 2016 campaign.
According to whistleblower disclosures reviewed by The Washington Times, Comey allegedly greenlit an operation in 2015 that involved deploying two undercover female agents—referred to as “honeypots”—to infiltrate Trump’s inner circle in an attempt to gather compromising material.
“You must go to jail because of what you did,” Flynn said, addressing Comey directly. “But maybe they’ll cut you a little bit of a deal and they’ll put you in a softer prison for a shorter period of time because you’re able to give up some evidence on some of these other people who are even more deeper than you involved in this. Because Jim, you know exactly who I’m talking about.”

The FBI, now under the leadership of newly appointed Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, is reportedly pursuing the matter.
The Washington Times report indicates that the agency is tracking down former undercover operatives who allegedly worked under Comey’s orders during the 2016 election.
Whistleblower disclosures suggest that these agents were embedded at high levels within Trump’s campaign and operated under Comey’s direct supervision.
These new allegations contradict the FBI’s official justification for launching the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, which sought to establish a link between Trump’s campaign and Russian election interference.
According to the whistleblower, Comey personally oversaw the unauthorized operation and took steps to avoid standard documentation procedures, ensuring that the Justice Department’s Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz could not review the case.
“The case had no predicated foundation, so Comey personally directed the investigation without creating an official case file in Sentinel or any other FBI system,” the whistleblower stated.
These developments come in the wake of former FBI Director Christopher Wray’s resignation on January 19, just one day before Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.
Wray had been under scrutiny from congressional Republicans after refusing to attend an oversight hearing, citing vacation plans as his reason for declining.
With the FBI’s new leadership actively investigating whistleblower claims, Comey’s alleged role in the operation against Trump’s 2016 campaign is drawing increased attention.
Flynn’s warning signals the potential for further legal scrutiny of the former FBI director as these disclosures continue to surface.
