Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is back in the spotlight, once again clutching his pearls over President Donald Trump.
This time, the California Democrat claims that “millions” of Americans are embarrassed by Trump’s handling of Ukraine. During an appearance on CNN’s Situation Room, Schiff unleashed a predictable tirade, accusing the president of betraying an ally and making the U.S. look weak, as reported by Breitbart.
Schiff, who has never been shy about his disdain for Trump, insisted that the administration was attempting to “pressure” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into a deal.
“This is an effort to pressure Zelensky into giving up something for nothing,” Schiff ranted. “And I have to say this, on top of the resolution at the United Nations—where the United States sided with Russia, betrayed Ukraine—is one of the most shameful incidents in modern history.”

Schiff then ramped up the dramatics, painting a dire picture of American credibility collapsing under Trump.
“I think millions and millions and millions of Americans watching this not only disagree with the president but, maybe for the first time, are just downright ashamed of the president because we have betrayed an ally.”
It’s the same tired script from Schiff: outrage, exaggeration, and an attempt to paint Trump as some kind of villainous mastermind.

Never mind that Trump’s America First approach has been clear from the start—Schiff and the rest of the D.C. establishment can’t stand the idea of a president who puts the U.S. before foreign entanglements.
He continued his meltdown by suggesting that Trump has abandoned America’s principles.
“We not only betrayed an ally, but we betrayed our principles. Are we to be nothing except transactional now? We have no commitment to democracy, no commitment to our allies. It’s all going to be about the money. That seems to be Donald Trump’s orientation. But what a sad chapter of our history.”
Of course, Schiff conveniently ignores the fact that Ukraine has received billions in U.S. aid, and Trump has pushed European nations to step up instead of making the U.S. the world’s piggy bank. But according to Schiff, it’s all part of some grand betrayal.
He wrapped up by accusing Trump of reducing Ukraine to a beggar state.
““Ukrainians have made just tremendous sacrifices and to be reduced to this by his most important ally, the United States, coming hat in hand with some kind of fig leaf offer of the mineral wealth of his country in exchange for little or nothing. It is really just tawdry, but it is, you know, what this administration has reduced our allies to.”
Schiff’s obsession with Trump remains alive and well, even though his last crusade—the Russia collusion hoax—completely fell apart.

Now, he’s recycling the same fear-mongering tactics, hoping that a new round of anti-Trump hysteria will distract from his own failures. But Americans have heard it all before, and they’re not buying what Schiff is selling.
