FACT CHECK: Did Christopher Wray Have ‘Several Boxes’ Of Epstein Files Destroyed?

A post shared on Facebook claims former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray purportedly had “several boxes” of Epstein files destroyed.

The claim is false and originally stems from a March 4 post shared by “America’s Last Line of Defense,” which is a satirical Facebook page.

Fact Check:

Attorney General Pam Bondi said the FBI delivered a “truckload” of Epstein files after she gave them a firm deadline to produce the materials, according to Fox News. Bondi also said she wants a “full report” about the files, the outlet indicated.

The Facebook post claims Wray purportedly had “several boxes” of Epstein files destroyed.

“Former FBI Director Christopher Wray Had ‘Several Boxes’ Of Epstein Files Destroyed. In case anyone was wondering if he was on the list…I think we know the answer,” the post, which features a photo of Wray, reads.

The claim is false and originally stems from a March 4 post shared by “America’s Last Line of Defense,” which is a satirical Facebook page. The Facebook page describes itself as “the flagship of the ALLOD network of trollery and propaganda for cash” before reiterating, “nothing on this page is real.” The original post has received over 500 likes as of writing.

Likewise, the FBI does not appear to have issued a press release or social media statement responding to the claim. FBI Director Kash Patel has not publicly addressed the claim. Bondi, who recently released the first phase of declassified files related to Epstein’s exploitation of underage girls, has not commented on the claim, either. In addition, Check Your Fact found no credible news reports to support the claim.
