Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) launched into a tirade following President Donald Trump’s speech, accusing billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk of playing a role in Trump’s election victory.
During a recent online appearance, the 86-year-old congresswoman suggested that the American people “don’t know everything” about Musk’s financial involvement in the election, claiming he helped sway the outcome.
Financial records indicate that Musk spent more than $250 million supporting third-party groups that focused on mobilizing pro-Trump voters in swing states.

Most of that funding went to America PAC, a political action committee that deployed thousands of canvassers to increase conservative turnout.
A Federal Election Commission (FEC) ruling in March allowed America PAC to coordinate its door-knocking operations with the Trump campaign.
The ruling gave the president’s team access to critical voter data, enabling more targeted outreach efforts, according to the Associated Press.
“We don’t know everything that Elon Musk has done with his high technology ass,” Waters said in the video.
She added, “We don’t know what he’s been accused of by some as it may relate to the election,” though she did not provide any specific details or evidence to support the claim.
The video quickly gained traction on social media after End Wokeness posted it on X and Libs of TikTok shared it.
“I was told that election deniers are the biggest threat to our Democracy…” the account posted, pointing out the contradiction in Waters’ remarks.

Many users in the comments section mocked Waters for questioning the election results, particularly given her party’s past criticisms of so-called “election deniers.”
President Trump’s decisive victory in November included winning all seven swing states and becoming the first Republican in 20 years to win the popular vote.
His campaign’s strong performance extended beyond battleground states, with significant gains in deep blue states like Minnesota and New Jersey compared to 2020.
Additionally, he picked up over one million votes in traditionally Democratic states such as Massachusetts.
According to the AP, America PAC’s efforts were not focused on these states, raising questions about Waters’ claims that Musk’s financial contributions were solely responsible for Trump’s widespread success.
Since the election, Waters has faced several public setbacks.
Last month, she was turned away from the Department of Education after attempting to confront officials over the administration’s plans to dismantle the department.
DOGE staffers reportedly denied her entry, leading to a heated exchange.
She also took aim at Musk during a rally where Democrats opposed his access to sensitive U.S. Treasury files.
Waters accused him of overstepping his authority, claiming he had taken control of financial information without voter approval.
“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters said.
As Trump’s second term moves forward, Waters and other Democrats continue to push back against his administration’s policies, but her latest comments on Musk’s alleged election influence have only fueled further criticism.
