The FBI’s newly launched Virginia-based task force is proving to be a major win for law and order, taking down 214 criminals—including gang members from MS-13 and Tren de Aragua—within just two weeks.

So far, the task force has arrested four individuals linked to the Venezuelan-born Tren de Aragua gang, 18 members of MS-13, and 16 others connected to transnational organized crime.
The effort is already showing results, and if FBI Director Kash Patel has his way, this will just be the beginning.

Participants include FBI field offices, the Border Patrol, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, the Virginia State Police, the Virginia Department of Corrections, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
This coalition has been tasked with dismantling violent criminal networks, tackling narco-trafficking, and addressing the broader security threats stemming from organized crime.
Tren de Aragua has been flagged as a growing threat in Virginia and the surrounding Washington, D.C., area. The gang’s presence has expanded to at least 16 states, targeting suburban areas with high-end shopping districts.
Meanwhile, MS-13 has long plagued Virginia, leaving a brutal track record of violent crime. One MS-13 member currently on trial is accused of six murders.
The operation also netted criminals associated with the notorious Sinaloa Cartel, according to Washington Field Office Acting Assistant Director in Charge Roman Rozhavsky.

The surge in cartel-related activity has been a growing concern, with retired DEA agent Brian Townsend warning that the Sinaloa Cartel has been infiltrating smaller American communities.
The cartel has been central to the smuggling of deadly fentanyl across the border, fueling the nation’s devastating drug crisis.
In a significant move, the State Department has officially designated MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and the Sinaloa Cartel as foreign terrorist organizations.
This classification makes it illegal to provide any support to these groups, further strengthening enforcement efforts.
The push to root out violent criminals and foreign gangs aligns with President Trump’s broader initiative to restore law and order. His administration has prioritized deporting migrants involved in drug trafficking and gang violence, ensuring American communities are no longer terrorized by these foreign crime syndicates.
The FBI is also directing resources toward targeting individuals tied to Venezuela’s socialist regime under Nicolás Maduro, a known enabler of organized crime and illicit activities.
According to reports, the agency is taking decisive action against those engaging in “dirty business” with Maduro’s oppressive government.
The success of this initiative in just two weeks proves that when law enforcement is given the tools and authority to do its job, results follow.
