Trump Held Up Deep State Heads and Put Them on a Stake: Mike Davis [WATCH]

During a recent War Room segment, Steve Bannon and legal expert Mike Davis discussed the Justice Department’s years-long pursuit of President Donald Trump, accusing it of using baseless legal theories and working with Democratic operatives to weaken him financially and politically.

The two highlighted Trump’s assertion that the Justice Department now answers to him, signaling a shift away from deep state influence.

Davis outlined what he called a relentless, politically motivated effort to destroy Trump, pointing to a coordinated campaign that involved both federal prosecutors and Democratic activists.

“What we witnessed is a President of the United States who was hunted by this Justice Department for four years, and they tried to throw him in prison for the rest of his life under a bogus legal theory, and they worked with other prosecutors around the country, Democrat operatives around the country, to bankrupt him, throw him off the ballots, throw him in prison, take off his head, and this is justice today,” Davis said.

Davis emphasized that following Trump’s re-election, the Justice Department is now under his authority, marking a significant turning point.

“President Trump went to the Justice Department after winning the election on this lawfare issue and showing the Justice Department that they work for the President of the United States. They now work for Donald J. Trump, and this is a critical lesson. President Trump went over there and told the deep state that the deep state is over.”

Bannon reflected on how presidential power was scaled back in the aftermath of Watergate, arguing that this shift weakened the executive branch and left it vulnerable to political manipulation.

“The reason, I said, the last seven or eight years, as you know, Mike, we—it revved up to an unbelievable level under Garland in the Biden regime. But it was bad from day one,” Bannon said.

He then referenced legal scholar John Yoo’s analysis of Watergate-era reforms, which stripped the presidency of its traditional role as chief law enforcement officer.

“The reason it’s bad, we had John—you follow you today—and John, you walked through that paper he had written for Savitas about ending, really the ending of Watergate and the quote, unquote reforms that came in Watergate, that took away the President of the United States and the Office of the President being the chief magistrate and the chief law enforcement officer,” Bannon explained.

Bannon then compared Trump’s recent actions to historical moments of decisive leadership.

“Did President Trump make a pretty bold interest? I mean, it was like Caesar coming back from a campaign, walking in there. Did he make a bold enough statement that that whole concept, that the Justice Department, the FBI, all of this, is totally separate from the Office of the President and the executive branch of the government, sir?”

Davis took Bannon’s historical comparison further, arguing that Trump’s return to the Justice Department symbolized a decisive victory over the entrenched bureaucracy.

“I think it was Caesar walking to a foreign country and conquering it, and then showing the foreign country that they are conquered by holding up their heads and putting them on a stake,” Davis said.

Davis called out the Justice Department for its politicization, stating that its weaponization intensified under Presidents Obama and Biden.

“And I think that was so important today for this Justice Department that was so politicized and weaponized, starting under President Obama, on steroids under President Biden, that there is a new sheriff in town, and his name is Donald J. Trump,” Davis continued.

Davis warned that those responsible for politically motivated legal attacks would face consequences.

“There are going to be severe, severe legal, political, and financial consequences for the way they politicized and weaponized our intel agencies and law enforcement to go after him, to go after his family, to go after his supporters, like his January 6 supporters, to go after his top aides, like Peter Navarro and you, Steve Bannon,” Davis said.

He concluded by listing key figures who will ensure accountability.

“There are going to be consequences for this. And Pam Bondi and Todd Blanche and Kash Patel and Emil Bove are going to make damn sure that happens.”

Bannon and Davis framed Trump’s reassertion of control over the Justice Department as a direct challenge to deep state influence, declaring that the era of politically motivated prosecutions is over.

With figures like Bondi, Blanche, Patel, and Bove leading the charge, they indicated that Trump’s administration is poised to hold those responsible for past abuses accountable.
