Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley is facing new allegations of sexual assault stemming from his time at Columbia University in the 1990s.

Two women have come forward, claiming Wiley raped them in separate incidents in 1994 while he was a student.

The latest accusations come months after another woman alleged in November 2023 that Wiley raped her in 1994 while she was a virgin.

One of the new accusers, identified in court documents as “Jane Doe,” alleges that Wiley assaulted her in his dorm room on October 27, 1994.

According to her statement, Wiley invited her to his room and pressured her to have sex. She claims she repeatedly refused, but he insisted, allegedly telling her she was “too uptight and needed to relax.”

Doe alleges that Wiley then turned up the music on his stereo to a high volume before assaulting her.

“Wiley then swung [her] legs on the bed, lunged towards her and overpowered [her],” she stated in court filings.

She further claims that Wiley held her down while whispering to her “to relax, enjoy it, stop crying, and stop fighting the feeling.”

According to Doe, she reported the alleged assault to an official at Columbia University but was discouraged from pursuing the case.

She claims she was told that moving forward with the accusation would lead to her being “known as the girl who destroyed a black man’s NFL dream.”

A second woman has also accused Wiley of sexual assault, alleging that he raped her in his dorm room in a similar manner the following month.

Marcellus Wiley played in the NFL for ten seasons, recording 44 sacks and 322 tackles.

He played for the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars during his professional football career.

Wiley has not yet responded publicly to the new allegations. The legal proceedings regarding these claims are ongoing, and it remains unclear whether additional legal action will be taken.

The case is the latest in a series of accusations against former professional athletes, bringing renewed attention to allegations of misconduct from decades past.
