Conor McGregor, Ireland’s most famous fighter and never one to shy away from a headline, made his way to the White House on Monday morning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, as reported by TMZ.
The UFC legend was welcomed by President Donald Trump and his team, turning the holiday into a full-blown spectacle at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Dressed to impress in a sharp three-piece green suit, McGregor fully embraced the Irish spirit. He even ditched his signature beard and buzzed his head for the occasion.

But this wasn’t just about festive drinks and lighthearted fun—McGregor had some serious words for the powers that be back in Ireland.
Standing at the podium inside the White House press briefing room, McGregor let loose on Ireland’s leadership.
“What is going on in Ireland is a travesty. Our government is the government of zero action with zero accountability.”

McGregor has been increasingly vocal about his homeland’s political failures, and he didn’t hold back while standing on American soil.
“There are rural towns in Ireland that have been over run in one swoop. That have become a minority in one swoop. So the issues need to be addressed and the 40 million Americans as I said need to hear this because if not, there will be no place to come home and visit.”
The White House seemed happy to spotlight McGregor’s visit, even posting a video of the event on its official X page.

While no images have surfaced yet of McGregor and Trump together, it’s only a matter of time before they shake hands. Trump, never one to miss an opportunity to hype up a supporter, recently declared McGregor his “favorite Irishman.”
“He’s got the best tattoos I’ve ever seen!” Trump quipped last week.
REPORTER: Who is your favorite Irish person?
TRUMP: I do happen to like your fighter, Conor McGregor. He’s great. You have a lot of great Irish fighters. You know why? They’re tough people. Smart, passionate people.pic.twitter.com/2rPZR4fW3x
