ROOKE: Trump Forces Democrats To Make Fatal Mistake

Democrats spent the weekend destroying the last remaining credibility the party had with the American people.

On Saturday, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg tried to block the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador, where they will serve prison sentences for gang activity. Boasber, a rogue Obama-appointed judge most famous for signing FISA warrants to spy on President Donald Trump and overseeing the Clinton email scandal, ordered Trump to return a plane filled with MS-13 and Tren de Aragua criminals back to the U.S.

Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country. They were immediately transferred to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, for a period of one year (renewable).

The Trump administration ignored the order since the flight was already over international waters. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele confirmed that over 250 Venezuelan gang members had been received by his government and sent to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center.

This should have been a victory that all Americans celebrated. Instead, Democrats denounced the move, spending the weekend attempting to humanize the thugs who are part of a criminal organization responsible for murdering Americans and destroying the neighborhoods of working-class voters. American University Washington College of Law professor Rebecca Hamilton was one such leftist who took to X to sympathize with the murders, rapists, and thugs over her fellow citizens.

“It is important to be very clear. The people you see in this photo have not had any due process whatsoever between being uprooted from their lives [and] families in the U.S. and finding themselves now in CECOT prison in El Salvador,” Hamilton wrote, including a picture of Venezuelan gang members being processed into the prison.

Brendan Nyhan, Dartmouth political scientist and co-director at left-wing “democracy watch organization Bright Line Watch, joined Hamilton, claiming that a video posted of the deportations was “fascist propaganda.”

Democrat Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy called Trump’s decision to defy Boasberg’s order and continue with the deportation flight “[a]nother unconstitutional power grab by Trump.”

“[Trump’s] explicit purpose – to allow him to detain and depart gang members and drug traffickers – is bullshit. There’s ALREADY a law on the books to allow him to do that. He doesn’t need new law. So then why is he invoking an 18th century war powers law?” Murphy said.

“Remember, the whole plan is to destroy our democracy so he can turn our government – and your tax dollars – over to his billionaire friends. The slow but steady rollout of war powers (is the Insurrection Act next?) erodes our rule of law – until before we know it, it’s gone,” he added.

Trump made the correct decision to defy a single federal judge who had no jurisdiction since the flight was already in international waters. The left proceeded to lose their minds over it.

Do they like losing? Is it fun for them to be so wrong all the time? Trump’s move, regardless of whether it is correct (which it is), is entirely supported by the mandate he received at the ballot box in November and upheld by the historically high approval ratings his administration is currently receiving. In November, just 27% of Americans said the country was heading in the right direction. That number has now jumped to 44% since Trump took office, according to a recent NBC poll. The last time Americans said this was in 2004. The same NBC poll found that the Democrat party is experiencing historically low approval ratings, with just 27% of Americans feeling positive about the party and only 7% saying those views are “very” positive. The last time Democrats polled so poorly among American voters was in 1990.

A Trump administration source told Daily Caller editor Vince Coglianese that among the Venezuelan gang members that Trump to El Salvador were people charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse of a child, aggravated assault, prostitution, robbery, and aggravated assault of a police officer. These aren’t peaceful refugees looking for a better life in the U.S. These are hardened criminals who are responsible for destroying the safety and fabric of American communities. It seems Democrats are unable to see the forest through the trees. Americans don’t want gang members taking over apartment complexes, raping and murdering their children, or causing mayhem in their communities. The majority of the country wholly rebuked the policy decisions made during the Biden administration and are continuing to be applauded by voters after Trump took office.

Democrats are ruining any chance to reframe the narrative that they are the party of chaos by continuing to fight Trump’s policies that are good for Americans.
