President Donald Trump extended his gratitude to El Salvador on Sunday after its president, Nayib Bukele, shared intense footage of hundreds of suspected gang members deported from the U.S. arriving in the Central American nation, as reported by Fox News.
The video, posted by Bukele, showed the alleged criminals being processed at El Salvador’s high-security Terrorism Confinement Center.
Trump, who recently invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to swiftly deport criminal migrants from hostile nations, made it clear that this crisis is the direct result of failed Democrat leadership.
“Thank you to El Salvador and, in particular, President Bukele, for your understanding of this horrible situation, which was allowed to happen to the United States because of incompetent Democrat leadership. We will not forget!”

The 47th President did not mince words about the individuals deported, calling them “the monsters sent into our Country by Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats.”
A senior Trump administration official confirmed that 261 illegal aliens were deported to El Salvador in the latest removal operation.

Among them, 137 were expelled under the Alien Enemies Act, 101 were Venezuelans deported under Title 8, and 21 were identified as MS-13 gang members.
Two individuals were classified as high-value MS-13 ringleaders, considered “special cases” by El Salvadoran authorities.
The criminal histories of these deportees were nothing short of horrific, including charges of kidnapping, child sexual abuse, aggravated assault, prostitution, robbery, and attacking law enforcement officers.
Despite a last-minute attempt by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg to halt the deportations, the planes had already left U.S. airspace.
The judge’s order, issued after the flights were in international territory, sought to block Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act. However, the administration remained firm in its stance.
“We did not defy a court order. The order came too late, and illegals were already in international airspace,” a Trump official stated, as reported by Axios.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt further dismissed the judge’s ruling as baseless, stating:
“The order had no lawful basis and was issued after terrorist [Tren de Aragua] aliens had already been removed from U.S. territory.”
Leavitt reaffirmed the administration’s authority, noting, “A single judge in a single city cannot direct the movements of an aircraft carrying foreign alien terrorists who were physically expelled from U.S. soil.”
The Administration did not ‘refuse to comply’ with a court order. The order, which had no lawful basis, was issued after terrorist TdA aliens had already been removed from U.S. territory. Bukele proudly announced that the deportees had arrived in El Salvador and were immediately transferred to a high-security prison.
The dramatic video accompanying his post showed heavily armed authorities surrounding the suspects, forcing them to kneel as they were processed.
The footage also captured the prisoners getting their heads shaved, being marched into cells with their hands behind their necks, and detained under strict security measures.
Bukele outlined the nation’s broader strategy in dealing with MS-13 and other criminal elements, explaining that his Zero Idleness program has already mobilized over 40,000 inmates to perform labor and reduce reliance on government funding.
“Over time, these actions, combined with the production already being generated by more than 40,000 inmates engaged in various workshops and labor under the Zero Idleness program, will help make our prison system self-sustainable,” Bukele stated.
He emphasized that El Salvador is not only ridding itself of violent criminals but also securing intelligence to eliminate any remaining MS-13 strongholds.
“As always, we continue advancing in the fight against organized crime. But this time, we are also helping our allies, making our prison system self-sustainable, and obtaining vital intelligence to make our country an even safer place. All in a single action.”
Bukele closed his message with a patriotic sentiment: “May God bless El Salvador, and may God bless the United States.”
Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country. They were immediately transferred to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, for a period of one year (renewable).

Bukele’s decisive action was met with praise from U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who thanked the El Salvadoran president for his leadership.
“President @nayibbukele is not only the strongest security leader in our region, he’s also a great friend of the U.S.,” Rubio wrote in a post on X. “Thank you!”
We have sent 2 dangerous top MS-13 leaders plus 21 of its most wanted back to face justice in El Salvador. Also, as promised by @POTUS, we sent over 250 alien enemy members of Tren de Aragua which El Salvador has agreed to hold in their very good jails at a fair price that will…

With Trump back at the helm, it’s clear that America is done playing defense. Criminals who exploit weak Democrat policies won’t find a safe haven in the U.S.—they’ll be on the next plane out.
