President Donald Trump is making it crystal clear—illegal immigrants have a choice: leave voluntarily or face removal the hard way.
In a video set to be released this week, Trump calls on those in the country illegally to use the newly launched CBP Home app to initiate their departure, as reported by Fox News.
“People in our country can self-deport the easy way, or they can get deported the hard way, and that’s not pleasant,” Trump states in the video, emphasizing that this process is a final warning.

This comes after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) scrapped the disastrous CBP One app, a Biden-era tool that allowed over a million illegal immigrants to flood into the U.S. under the guise of parole.
The new CBP Home app, by contrast, is designed to do the exact opposite—help illegal immigrants pack up and leave.
Trump lays out the terms bluntly. Those who use the app to self-deport will have a chance to apply for legal entry at some point in the future. But those who ignore the opportunity will be tracked down, deported, and banned from ever stepping foot in America again.
“Now, my administration is launching the CBP Home app to give people in our country illegally an easy way to leave now and self-deport voluntarily. If they do, they will potentially have the opportunity to return legally at some point in the future. But if they do not avail themselves of this opportunity, then they will be found. They will be deported, and they will never be admitted to the United States ever, ever again.”

Trump also makes it clear that this isn’t just about convenience—it’s about law enforcement regaining control. He notes that self-deportation allows officers to redirect resources toward tracking down and deporting violent criminals who have slipped through Biden’s porous border policies.
The CBP Home app offers illegal immigrants a way to “Submit Intent to Depart” and confirm they have exited the U.S. However, this option is only available to those who entered the country through Biden’s failed CBP One app, which Trump immediately terminated on his first day back in office.

In addition to eliminating CBP One’s parole loophole, Trump has paused all parole programs and greenlit ICE to revoke parole statuses for those already here.
Last month, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem went even further, barring illegal immigrants from using CBP One to board domestic flights unless they are utilizing it for self-deportation.
Additionally, the administration is rolling back Biden-era Temporary Protected Status (TPS) extensions, cutting off yet another pathway for migrants attempting to cling to legal status they never had.
Trump’s message is clear: the days of open borders and mass catch-and-release are over. The United States is no longer a sanctuary for illegal immigration, and those who refuse to leave peacefully will face the full force of the law.
