The FBI, under the leadership of Director Kash Patel, has secured the capture of its third most wanted fugitive since President Donald Trump returned to the White House, as reported by Newsmax.

Patel took to social media platform X on Tuesday night to highlight the success, making it clear this is no coincidence.

“This isn’t an accident,” Patel posted, emphasizing the direct impact of a law-and-order-focused administration.

He credited the Justice Department, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, for equipping the FBI with the tools necessary to restore integrity to the bureau and take down high-profile criminals.

“When you let good cops be good cops, this is what happens,” Patel declared. “This administration is giving the new FBI and AG Bondi the resources to get the job done — and we won’t stop.”

The FBI and @TheJusticeDept @AGPamBondi have captured our third fugitive on the Ten Most Wanted list since January 20, 2025.

While Patel didn’t immediately release details about the latest fugitive apprehension, his announcement followed the high-profile arrest of MS-13 senior leader Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales.

Bardales, a major figure in the gang’s operations across the United States, Mexico, and El Salvador, was taken into custody in Mexico on Monday. Authorities have confirmed that he will be extradited to the United States.

The FBI had placed a $250,000 bounty on Bardales, a known orchestrator of MS-13’s criminal activities, ranging from drug trafficking to brutal violence. In a separate statement on X, Patel underscored the importance of this arrest.

“I can now confirm that last night, working with the Justice Department and other interagency partners, the FBI has extradited one of our ‘Ten Most Wanted’ from Mexico — one we believe to be a key senior leader of MS-13, Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales. This is a major victory both for our law enforcement partners and for a safer America.”

Bardales’ arrest is just the latest in a string of high-profile crackdowns on criminal enterprises. His capture occurred in the mountains of Veracruz, an area notorious for cartel activity. According to reports, the Mexican government confirmed the arrest Monday.

His detention follows Mexico’s recent extradition of over 29 cartel figures to the U.S., including Rafael Caro Quintero, the drug kingpin behind the 1985 murder of a DEA agent.

The Trump administration recently took a hardline stance on Latin American criminal organizations, formally designating eight of them, including MS-13, as foreign terrorist organizations.

With Patel and Bondi at the helm of law enforcement, it’s clear the days of coddling violent gangs and cartels are over. The message is simple: crime won’t be tolerated, and the U.S. is taking out the trash—one fugitive at a time.
