It’s Always Projection: Trump FBI Critic Arrested For Stealing Classified Information

Have you heard of Jonathan Buma?

Neither had I, but apparently, he was a prolific Trump critic and a favorite of the Pravda Media during the first Trump administration. 

As you know, the FBI was a hotbed of resistance, leaks, lies, hoaxes, and overall #resistance to Trump from 2016-2020, and continued its campaign to destroy Trump well after he left office. 

Trump, you see, was a danger to the country, so breaking laws, spreading hoaxes, and using the power of the FBI against him was totally, completely justified. 

Well, that guy just got arrested for trying to flee the country after having stolen classified information. 

Karma. Enjoy some jail time, buddy.

Buma is a legend in his own mind and was certain that the public would snap up his memoir. He TOOK ON THE PRESIDENT! He imagines himself a brave truth-teller, taking on HITLERSTALINMUSSOLINI, so of course, he has a right to steal sensitive information and use it to make himself look bigger and badder than he really is. 

An FBI agent who criticized the bureau during President Donald Trump’s first term was arrested Monday on a charge of sharing confidential FBI documents and messages to write a book about his time at the federal agency.

Johnathan Buma, a 15-year FBI veteran, was arrested as he was getting ready to board an international flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, an arrest affidavit stated.

Buma is accused of printing about 130 files of classified FBI documents and messages and later sharing the material with associates for a book he was writing about his career at the bureau.

“The book draft contained information that BUMA obtained through his position as an FBI Special Agent that relates to the FBI’s efforts and investigations into a foreign country’s weapons of mass destruction (‘WMD’) program,” according to the court document. “On November 2, 2023, BUMA wrote an email to various personal associates assisting him in negotiating a book deal with a publishing company.”

During the second Trump campaign, Buma apparently got nervous and tried to push his superiors to open new investigations into Trump and his associates. 

Nothing like abusing the power of government to go after your political enemies. Standard FBI practice, so he was going back to the old playbook. 

Unfortunately, although Buma stole a bunch of classified documents and tried to flee the country, he, so far, has only been charged with one misdemeanor. That’s a long cry for charging Trump with 34 felonies for making a legal payment for a confidentiality agreement. 

But so it goes. Buma is a lefty. The law doesn’t apply to them. 

No doubt the Democrats will cry foul and political persecution, using the ever-popular “but Trump” defense. Liberals are supposed to be able to do anything they like, while conservatives deserve whatever they get, even if it is based on a hoax. 

Forgive me if I hope the Trump Justice Department comes down hard on Buma. He spent years trying to frame Trump based on the private fantasies and projections of leftists. A bit of poetic justice would be nice to see.
