The National Institutes of Health just slammed the brakes on yet another absurd Biden-era grant—this time, $620,288 that was meant to explore how to prevent pregnancies in biological females who now identify as transgender boys, as reported by The New York Post.

That’s right, taxpayer dollars were being funneled into a program focused on “inclusive” pregnancy prevention for a group that makes up a fraction of the population, yet somehow still manages to get a chunk of federal funding.

According to officials, all $620K has been saved after the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) flagged the grant, and the Trump administration wasted no time pulling the plug.

Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’

The grant originally went to the Center for Innovative Public Health Research, a nonprofit soaked in progressive ideology masquerading as public health advocacy.

The project’s stated goal? To fine-tune an existing pregnancy prevention program, called Girl2Girl, so it could include “transgender boys.”

In other words, they wanted to re-engineer a program aimed at teen girls to make it suitable for biological females who now reject the term “girl”—but are still capable of getting pregnant.

One glance at the grant proposal says it all: it claimed that “youth who are assigned female at birth (afab) and identify as transgender … not as girls, are at risk for negative sexual health outcomes yet are effectively excluded from sexual health programs.”

Translation: since these teens don’t identify as girls, we’re supposed to pretend biology doesn’t matter—yet still pay to study how they get pregnant.

The proposal also stated that these so-called “AFAB trans-identified youth” are less likely to use condoms and just as likely to become pregnant as girls who accept their biology.

Naturally, the researchers wanted to study rates of condom use, unprotected sex, HIV testing, and the use of PrEP pills—because apparently, this is where federal health priorities should be.

According to CDC stats, around 3.3% of high school students in 2023 identified as transgender, with about 1 million transgender-identifying individuals in the U.S. overall.

As for how many transgender men actually give birth? That number remains a mystery, though a University of Michigan study from 2014 to 2018 found a total of 1,907 such births—about 500 a year.

GovernmentSpending.gov reports that the nonprofit in question has received $1.3 million in federal grant money over time, with this particular $620K labeled a “continuation” under the Biden administration last June.

But thanks to sharp oversight, this continuation has now come to an abrupt end.

This isn’t the only wasteful spending cut recently.

HHS has also sliced $1.34 million from Boston Children’s Hospital’s woke “TransHealthGUIDE,” $222,977 from a University of Miami program monitoring “microaggressions” against black women with HIV, and $573,588 from the University of Michigan for HIV prevention research in transgender populations.

Finally, some common sense is returning to federal funding priorities. If there’s one thing conservatives can agree on, it’s this: stop wasting our money trying to rewrite biology.
