‘James Is Gonna Drive Me Nuts!’: Bill O’Reilly Loses It On Carville Over ‘Propaganda’ Trump Attacks

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly lost his temper at Democratic strategist James Carville during a Wednesday NewsNation town hall for claiming President Donald Trump plans on “cutting Medicaid.”

Carville launched the attacks on “CUOMO Town Hall: The First 100 Days” after host Chris Cuomo asked the Democratic strategist what he would do differently from Trump. O’Reilly said each criticism lacked merit and repeatedly interrupted Carville to refute his talking points. “I would not extend these billionaires’ tax cuts and I would not pay for them by clobbering the middle class and the lower middle class by cutting Medicaid expenses of which —” Carville said before O’Reilly cut him off.

O’Reilly noted Trump has asserted he would not make cuts to Medicaid. The president even said earlier in the town hall that has no intention of cutting Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid.

“Go watch the budget that’s been submitted. It’s already got six hundred —” Carville said before attempting to pivot to his talking point about the Ukraine war. However, O’Reilly continued to dispute his Medicaid claim.

“No, there’s nothing about cutting Medicaid in the budget,” the former Fox News host said. “This is just propaganda, Jim. Bunch of bull and you know it.”

Carville continued attempting to pivot to the war, appearing to ask permission to do so.

“No, you can’t. You can’t say it’s in the budget, there’s a Medicaid cut, when there isn’t!”

Democrats have alleged that House Republicans voted to gut Medicaid following their passage of a budget resolution, but they have failed to offer concrete evidence to support the claim. When asked, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries could not note a provision in the resolution that directly targeted Medicaid.

“This is ridiculous! And he does it every night,” O’Reilly added about Carville.

Carville then requested permission to move on to the Ukraine war, which Cuomo granted.

“He was going to end the Ukraine war on day one,” Carville said. Trump did say he would solve the war immediately during his 2024 campaign, but told Time Magazine in an April interview that he was speaking “figuratively” and exaggerating, adding “people know that when I said that, it was said in jest.”

“Oh, come on. It’s absurd!” O’Reilly exclaimed. “What did [former President Joe] Biden do for four years in there? Nothing. James is gonna drive me nuts!”
