ROOKE: There’s A Massive Donkey Blocking Democrats’ New Plan To Attack Trump

The Democrats still haven’t gotten over the reality that they lost in November due to their party’s complete mismanagement of the country. Instead of dealing with the hard truths, they’ve found another way to go after President Donald Trump and his family.

Democrat Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy announced Tuesday that he would introduce a bill on the Senate floor specifically targeting Trump and his immediate family. The “Modern Emoluments and Malfeasance Enforcement Act” or the “MEME Act” is the next wave of Democrat lawfare, and they aren’t hiding that the intended target for this is Trump.

On its face, the MEME Act sounds like a good idea. It bars any federal elected official and their family (spouse and dependent children) from creating a digital currency coin and profiting from its investments.

“The issuance, sponsorship, or promotion of financial instruments by public office holders will deprive the public of the office holder’s honest services, facilitate bribery by investors or purchasers, and result in public exploitation and corrupt foreign influence,” the bill states. “Members of Congress and the Executive Branch must not seek to use their public office to benefit financially; rather their positions are held in trust for the benefit of the American public.” (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)

The idea is that preventing the President or congressmen from owning a meme coin would stop any chance of bribery or collusion through the untraceable digital payment system these coins operate on. It’s not inherently a bad idea. But as Murphy and other democrats have clearly stated, the act’s intended target isn’t Congress but Trump.

“The Trump Coin is the biggest corruption scandal in the history of the White House,” Murphy posted along with a video attacking Trump, adding that he is “determined to put an end to this corruption – for good.”

Apparently, it’s perfectly okay for the son of the President to sell his fecal-laden artwork for 100s of thousands of dollars while his father is in office. Still, if Donald Trump Jr. wants to continue owning Trump Coin, all of a sudden, that opens the door to greasing the hand of our President. People think of Democrats as being the party of corruption and collusion. So it makes political sense that they would try to hang Trump for their crimes. When will the American people see any movement to end the massive amount of insider trading that is obviously taking place within the halls of Congress? The lore behind Democrat California Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s impeccable trading portfolio led to several people creating AI bots that buy and sell stocks based on her trading habits. Additionally, several members of Congress have better trading percentages than the top brokers on Wall Street.

This is LITERALLY insane.

Americans are the only ones never getting ahead, while our elected officials write the MEME Act to attack their political opponents. It would be laughable if we weren’t in an economic crisis created by four years of living in the Democrats’ spending spree.

Typically, I would be the first person in line to support an act like this. However, the constant stunts performed by our elected officials are too exhausting. Where were any of these people when Hunter Biden’s laptop exposed the vile way that the Biden family sold America out to the highest bidder? Or the Clinton family “somehow” coming out on top in Haiti?

Democrats’ new plan to finally “get Trump” has some significant holes in it. Americans don’t care about the Trump Coin. They care about closed borders, safe streets, and access to the American Dream. Maybe Democrats will wake up one day and realize this, but until then, I guess we will have to suffer through more bloviating speeches from our elected reprobates lecturing us on corruption.
