A single-vehicle crash on Long Island early Sunday morning left three people dead after their SUV burst into flames following a collision with a tree, according to local authorities, as reported by The New York Post.
The fatal incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Mother’s Day near Bethpage State Park. Police said the occupants were traveling in a 2022 Dodge Durango when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree head-on.

The SUV immediately caught fire, killing all three individuals inside.
Emergency crews from the Bethpage Fire Department responded quickly and extinguished the flames within five minutes of arriving on the scene. Despite their efforts, all three victims were pronounced dead at the site.
Police have not yet released the names of those killed in the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and no other vehicles were involved.
