Candace Owens Grills Harvey Weinstein in Explosive Jailhouse Interview, He Denies Alleged Assaults [WATCH]

Convicted former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, currently facing a retrial in Manhattan on rape charges, has spoken publicly for the first time since his initial arrest seven years ago, denying key accusations and admitting to a financial settlement with actress Rose McGowan, as reported by the New York Post.

The 73-year-old gave an on-camera interview to conservative commentator Candace Owens, which is scheduled to air in full Tuesday. In a preview clip, Weinstein addressed allegations made by several of his celebrity accusers, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd, and McGowan.

“I did not commit these crimes,” Weinstein said in the interview. “I swear it before God and on the people watching now and on my family.”

Weinstein specifically pushed back on Paltrow’s claims that he assaulted her during the filming of the 1996 movie Emma. “It’s a complete fabrication about my relationship with Gwyneth,” he stated.

“I didn’t put my hands on her. I didn’t touch her. But I definitely made a pass.”

Paltrow had previously alleged that Weinstein invited her to his hotel suite, placed his hands on her, and suggested a massage shortly after she was cast in Emma.

Her account was one of several that surfaced during the rise of the #MeToo movement, in which numerous actresses came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Weinstein.

Weinstein also responded to McGowan’s accusation that he orally raped her after she was cast in the 1996 film Scream. While denying the assault, he acknowledged a financial agreement.

“I settled with Rose McGowan. I gave her $100,000. Don’t tell my wife, don’t get me into trouble. It’s all conflated, and it’s all led to the idea that I’m going to be the one they persecute.”

Weinstein was married to fashion designer Georgina Chapman from 2007 until their divorce in 2021, which followed the flood of allegations against him.

Addressing claims made by Ashley Judd, another high-profile accuser, Weinstein called her allegations “ridiculous.”

Weinstein became a central figure in the national conversation about sexual misconduct in 2017, after multiple women accused him of sexual assault, harassment, and rape. He was convicted of sex crimes in both New York and California.

However, in 2023, an appeals court overturned his New York conviction, citing the use of prejudicial testimony during trial.

The current retrial in New York could result in a sentence of up to 25 years if Weinstein is convicted again. He has pleaded not guilty.
