A 21-year-old man is facing criminal charges after allegedly purchasing alcohol for a 20-year-old fan who was seriously injured in a fall from the Clemente Wall at PNC Park during a Pittsburgh Pirates game on April 30, as reported by Breitbart.
Authorities identified the suspect as Ethan Kirkwood. He is charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor after investigators determined he bought beer for Kavan Markwood, the fan who fell more than 20 feet onto the field.
The fall occurred during the Pirates’ home game and was captured on video by a bystander.

According to prosecutors, surveillance footage and fan-recorded video from the game showed Kirkwood buying alcohol from stadium vendors at least twice for Markwood.
Officials say Kirkwood admitted to purchasing the alcohol for Markwood, who is under the legal drinking age in Pennsylvania.
The fall took place when Markwood reportedly leaped in celebration after a play involving Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen. While reacting to the moment, he lost his balance and fell over the outfield railing.
The incident prompted immediate response from stadium medical personnel and law enforcement. Markwood was treated on site before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Court records show that Kirkwood is scheduled to appear before a judge at the end of June.
The case has raised questions regarding alcohol sales and enforcement at major league stadiums, especially when alcohol is provided to individuals under the age of 21.
The Pirates organization has not released an official statement on the matter, and stadium policy prohibits the distribution of alcoholic beverages to anyone under the legal age.
The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office is overseeing the case.
