In a powerful and emotional story that defies the narrative often pushed by mainstream media, a woman named Debbie shared a deeply personal experience involving former and current President Donald J. Trump — an encounter that she says quite literally saved her life.
Decades before his presidency, while Donald Trump was still widely known as a business mogul and television personality hosting NBC’s “The Apprentice,” he came across Debbie on a New York street.
Debbie, who has lived in the city for 50 years, was consumed with grief after losing both her parents at the same time.

She was in such despair that she was walking toward the Brooklyn Bridge with the intent of ending her life.
In an impromptu interview that has since gone viral after being aired by Newsmax host Rob Schmitt, Debbie recounted the moment that would forever change her life.
“Trump saved my life, literally,” she said.

“My dad and my mom passed at the same time. I was in a bad place. I was going towards the Brooklyn Bridge.”

According to Debbie, Trump had been attending a friend’s birthday party when he noticed her in tears, walking past the venue.
Rather than ignoring her — a stranger in distress — he intervened with a genuine act of compassion.
“He was at a friend’s birthday party. When he saw me coming past, I was hysterical in tears and he gently grabbed my arm. He was like, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, are you OK?’” Debbie recalled.
She described how Trump sensed the danger she was in and offered words that helped break through the fog of her despair.
“He said, ‘I don’t know what you’re going to do right now, but whatever it is, forget about it, take it out of your head. Your mom and dad wouldn’t want that.’ And he talked to me until I forgot all about what I was going to do.”
In a moment that left a lifelong impression, Trump asked if he could pray with her, then handed her a folded $100 bill.

Debbie, speaking through tears, revealed that she still has that $100 framed in her home as a reminder of the moment her life was saved.
“He saved my life,” she emphasized, before offering a pointed rebuttal to critics of Trump: “Anybody that has anything bad to say about Trump… he’s a good man.”
Debbie’s story is not the only one of its kind. Similar stories of Trump’s quiet kindness and generosity have emerged over the years — long before his political career began.
One such story came to light during the 2016 presidential campaign when former Miss Wisconsin USA, Melissa Young, publicly thanked Trump at a campaign rally in Wisconsin.
“You saved me in so many ways,” Young told Trump as she struggled with an incurable illness and was living under a “do not resuscitate” order. She revealed that during her darkest days, she received a handwritten note from Trump that read, “To the bravest woman I know.”

Young’s gratitude extended beyond the emotional support she received.
Because she had been crowned Miss Wisconsin USA during Trump’s ownership of the Miss USA pageant, she was awarded a scholarship that ensured a full ride to college for her 7-year-old son when he graduates high school.
Standing before the crowd, Young told Trump, “In those days, in the hospital, I received from you a handwritten letter.”

She also shared her efforts to write letters to her son to be opened “when I’m in Heaven,” explaining that she wanted him to understand the “great responsibility to pay it forward just as you have done for us.”
Trump, moved by Young’s words, responded with characteristic optimism. “Those doctors are going to be so wrong,” he said, expressing hope that she would live to witness her son’s graduation.
Later, in an interview with Inside Edition, Young clarified that her appearance at the rally was not orchestrated by the Trump campaign.

“He had no idea that I was going to say that or that I was going to be there,” she said.
These stories from Debbie and Melissa Young serve as poignant reminders of a side of Donald Trump that many Americans rarely hear about.
Away from the cameras, away from the headlines, there exists a pattern of quiet, heartfelt action — moments when the former president saw people not as political talking points, but as human beings in need of hope, kindness, and someone to believe in them.
For those who have experienced that side of Donald Trump, their memories are more than just anecdotes — they are stories of salvation, support, and second chances.
