Former White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway said Friday that the Democratic Party is facing what she described as an “ideology breakdown,” criticizing members of Congress for refusing to denounce antisemitism and opposing legislation broadly supported by the American public.

Speaking during an interview on Kudlow on Fox Business, Conway addressed what she sees as a growing disconnect between Democratic lawmakers and their constituents.

She accused leading Democrats of remaining silent amid rising antisemitic rhetoric and violence and claimed the party has lost its direction on both foreign and domestic policy issues.

“They all voted against these things that their constituents want. Democratic parties got worse at an identity crisis. They have an ideology breakdown where they can’t even support our best friend in that region, Israel,” Conway said.

Conway pointed to the recent killing of two Israeli Embassy staff members near the Capitol Jewish Museum as an example of what she characterized as the lack of response from progressive Democrats.

She specifically named Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), questioning why they did not issue public statements condemning the violence or antisemitic rhetoric in its aftermath.

“Two days after this beautiful couple was gunned down, who was actually calling out the antisemitism, anti-American speech of people like Rashida Tlaib, AOC? Certainly Ilhan Omar,” Conway said.

“Yesterday, she couldn’t even give you the doctrinaire political sanitized ‘violence is never the option, and I pray for those condolences for the families of those two young people.’ Not even that. She just had to get in her car and go. Look, this is not just happening on our college campuses. The antisemitism is in our halls of Congress, and people better wake up to that.”

Ilhan Omar needs to be kicked out of Congress now.

Not tomorrow.

Not in a week.

Now.

The truth is she is happy about these murders and we all know it.

An easy win if there are any sane Democrats left.

Conway also highlighted a 2023 House resolution condemning Hamas as a terrorist organization following the group’s October 7 attacks on Israel.

She criticized the 31 House Democrats who voted against the resolution on October 18, just eleven days after the attack.

“There were 31 Democrats, David, who voted against the resolution. That’s all it said. It didn’t talk about aid for Israel, it didn’t talk about Palestinian children in Gaza. It just wanted to condemn terrorists for the terrorist acts they committed,” Conway noted.

In addition to foreign policy concerns, Conway took aim at the Democratic Party’s unified opposition to President Donald Trump’s recently passed tax and spending package, which she said includes popular provisions like tax cuts, deregulation, and school choice.

“So the Democrats have a problem. You know, David, they won’t speak up and speak out against this, and none of them voted for that big, beautiful bill,” Conway said.

“None of them think that tax cuts, tax credits, dereg[ulation], energy security, border security, school choice” are worth supporting—even though these policies are backed by the voters they represent.

The House narrowly passed President Trump’s package on Thursday.

The comprehensive bill includes sweeping reforms and is being promoted by House leadership as a cornerstone of the administration’s domestic agenda.

House Speaker Mike Johnson called the bill’s passage a “historic moment” and urged the Senate to act swiftly.

The October 25 resolution, House Resolution 771, reaffirmed U.S. support for Israel following Hamas’ attack earlier that month.

The resolution condemned Hamas for launching an unprovoked war against Israel and was supported by a large bipartisan majority, though a small group of Democrats, including Tlaib, Omar, and Ocasio-Cortez, voted against it.

Conway’s comments add to growing Republican criticism of Democrats’ handling of issues related to antisemitism, foreign policy, and domestic legislation as the political divide in Congress continues to widen.
