MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has confirmed he is seriously considering a run for governor of Minnesota in 2026 and expects to make a decision following the results of polling now underway across the state, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Lindell, who rose to national prominence as a vocal critic of the 2020 election, says he’s exploring a challenge against two-term Democratic Governor Tim Walz.

Lindell made the announcement during a broadcast on Lindell TV and later confirmed the news in an interview with The Gateway Pundit on Sunday.

“I am considering running for Governor of the State of Minnesota,” Lindell said. “We’re doing due diligence now, including multiple polls. I think the results will show that nobody wants Tim Walz—not even Democrats.”

Governor Walz, who first took office in 2019, is eligible to run for a third term in 2026. Though he previously ruled out a U.S. Senate run, speculation has grown over his reelection plans.

Lindell said his consideration of a gubernatorial bid now—rather than in 2022—is based on what he believes is growing public momentum for election reform.

“Then, when they stole the [2020] election, they asked me if I was still going to run, and I said I wouldn’t run to be a dog catcher until these machines are gone,” Lindell said, referring to electronic voting systems.

“But now, things have changed. I believe that we are going to be paper ballots, hand counting. We’re under a timeline right now, but I believe that within a year, I believe, that’s going to happen.”

While preparing for a potential statewide campaign, Lindell is currently in Colorado, where he is set to stand trial for defamation in a lawsuit filed by former Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer.

Lindell contends the case will expose broader issues with election systems and could shift the national conversation.

“This is the trial that’s going to change everything,” Lindell said. “It will be the gateway to getting rid of the machines.”

Lindell is scheduled to hold a press conference on June 2 at the federal courthouse in Colorado, coinciding with the first day of the trial.

He has pledged to keep supporters updated on his campaign deliberations via Lindell TV and through ongoing coverage at The Gateway Pundit.
