A 15-year-old girl from South Jordan, Utah, who had been missing for nearly six weeks, was found safe over 500 miles away in Colorado Springs, Colorado, according to police, as reported by the New York Post.
The girl, Alisa Petrov, walked into the Colorado Springs Police Department on Sunday evening, ending a weeks-long search that had led to the investigation and arrests of three adult men.
Authorities confirmed Petrov appeared to be in good health when she arrived at the station, but investigators have not yet determined how she traveled to Colorado Springs or whether she was held against her will.

Petrov was officially reported missing on April 21, two days after she sent a final message to a man she had been communicating with online.
According to an affidavit obtained by KSL TV, Petrov messaged the man at 12:34 a.m. on April 19, stating:
“I’M RUNNING AWAY. Please don’t contact me.”
The man she had been in contact with was later identified as 41-year-old Samuel Teancum Mitchell from Herriman, Utah.

Petrov reportedly met Mitchell through Discord, and the two had engaged in a series of sexually explicit conversations, including discussions about condoms, sex games, and plans to meet in person.
Investigators uncovered these messages on Petrov’s iPad, which she had left behind in her bedroom. Some communications may have been deleted, but she had shared her Snapchat username with Mitchell, allowing further exchanges.
Following a reverse phone search, police arrested Mitchell on Wednesday. He has been charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and enticement of a minor.
In addition to Mitchell, two other men who had communicated with Petrov before her disappearance have also been charged.
William Taylor Glines, 37, was taken into custody in Texas. He faces charges including aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor—both first-degree felonies—and criminal solicitation.
The third suspect, Matthew Nicholas Menard, 35, of Florida, surrendered to authorities on Wednesday night. Menard was charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, enticing a minor, and three counts of criminal solicitation.

Security camera footage had captured Petrov leaving a train platform in Provo, Utah, before she vanished. Her family previously offered a $20,000 reward for information that would lead to her safe return.
Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate how Petrov traveled from Utah to Colorado and whether any of the suspects played a direct role in her transport.
