RFK’s Presidential Campaign PAC Goes Full MAHA With Eye Towards Midterms

The political action committee (PAC) once known as the American Values PAC rebranded to the MAHA PAC Tuesday in an effort to impact the 2026 midterm elections.

While likely to be embraced primarily by Republican voters and candidates, the MAHA PAC may be open to supporting candidates on both sides of the aisle, Mark Gorton, cofounder of American Values PAC, told the Daily Caller.

“I think we’re keeping an open mind,” Gorton said. “We would love to see MAHA candidates in down ballot races all over the place,” he added, while acknowledging that Republicans are more likely to embrace the PAC.

“There’s certainly way, way, way, way more reception for MAHA from the Republican Party,” Gorton said. “You really see how the Democrats [are] willfully shielding themselves from the idea of MAHA.”

Once champions of MAHA-centric ideas like making food more healthy, some of the Democratic Party’s biggest stars have set themselves up in staunch opposition to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“I would love MAHA to make the Democratic Party healthy again, to really get back to its roots and to start working for the people,” Gorton said. 

The PAC, which staunchly supported Kennedy’s independent presidential campaign in 2024, announced its rebrand in a Tuesday Twitter thread.

“Make America Healthy Again is so much more than just a slogan. It’s a revolution,” Tony Lyons, cofounder of the PAC, said in a video announcing the transition. (RELATED: RFK’s Make America Healthy Again Movement Having Major Impact At State Level)

In addition to rebranding the PAC, they also changed the name of their blog tracking Kennedy’s policy wins. Previously titled “The Kennedy Beacon,” the website will now be known as “The MAHA Report.”

The PAC will now seek to build support for the MAHA movement in Congress and in various government agencies, Gorton told the Caller.

“Our job now is changing to provide broader political support for this transformation,” he said.

“The people inside government are … some of them are really great, but they’re also constrained by their situation. We hear time and time again when we talk to people in Congress ‘we need the support on the ground if we’re going to make stuff happen,’” Gorton concluded.
