Democrats’ Latest Media Venture Flops On First Day

The second episode of the Democrats’ latest media venture, a daily live YouTube show, had less than 500 views in four hours, YouTube analytics showed.

The Democrats released the first live streamed episode of “The Blueprint” on Monday morning, garnering under 8,000 views in over 24 hours.

The second episode debuted Tuesday morning to even less fanfare, amassing just 499 views in the first four hours.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced the project in an exclusive Axios article Monday, crowning DNC Deputy Communications Director Hannah Muldavin as the show’s host.

The new YouTube show comes as the Democrats spend massive amounts of time and money on trying replicate the Trump campaign’s winning alternative media strategy, which focused on cultural podcasts and new media outlets. (RELATED: Trump’s Media Strategy Is A Game Changer For Future Of Politics)

Billionaire Democratic-backers, including George Soros’s Open Society and Apple widow Laurene Powell Jobs, met with influential left-wing media figures like Crooked Media in February to game out a strategy to recapture the national conversation.

The latest DNC-sponsored venture pales in comparison to the regular viewership of podcasters like Theo Von and Joe Rogan, who leftwing pundits bemoaned as boosting President Trump’s 2024 electoral campaign.

Furthermore, the new initiative dropped amid other inner turmoil at the DNC.

DNC Chair Ken Martin recently admitted in a leaked audio clip that he regrets accepting the chair position.

“The other night I said to myself for the first time, I don’t know if I wanna do this anymore,” Martin reportedly said in the clip, obtained by Politico.

Martin reportedly made the comments during a Zoom call May 15, which included DNC vice chair David Hogg. Hogg is currently facing a DNC vote to nullify his election as vice chair.
