A year ago, the regime in Tehran had the Biden administration cowed into suppressing Israeli action against the country.

Iran has told the United States that it will attack Israel directly unless the Biden administration secures a ceasefire in Gaza, according to an Arab diplomatic source who spoke with Jadeh Iran.

The ultimatum follows an Israeli attack on an Iranian diplomatic facility in Damascus last week. The source told Jadeh Iran that a ceasefire could also lead to progress on other aspects of the U.S.-Iran relationship. This comes following mediation by Oman between the U.S. and Iran.

Even as they continued sending Iranian men over the open US border.

Always shifting their stories, always playing the victim or the bully, always moving the pieces in the background.

Prevaricate and bloviate.

When Donald Trump became president for the second time, nothing changed in their dealings with the United States, although, based on their prior experience with the man, you would have thought a certain level of caution would have been in order.

Donald Trump has always said the Iranians would never have a nuclear bomb on his watch.

For weeks, even as the sixty-first day from his April deadline approached, Donald Trump warned the Iranians that he would not let them have whatever they needed for a bomb.

Roughly one month ago, from the stage at an investment forum in Saudi Arabia, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran that would prove prophetic.

“We’ll never allow America and its allies to be threatened with terrorism or nuclear attack,” Trump told the crowd, sending a message to the leadership in Tehran.

“The time is right now for them to choose. Right now. We don’t have a lot of time to wait. Things are happening at a very fast pace.”

That May 13 ultimatum received little attention at the time.

The Iranians continued to play the games they always had, which, to be honest, had always been successful. The same games that had gotten them as close to the materials for a nuclear weapon or weapons as they ever had been. Within a short period of time, they would no longer have to heed even the warnings of the United States.

And so they continued their campaign of bluster, secure in the knowledge that they were safe. In all these years, no United States president had even attempted to touch them, and, while Israel could do damage, they had ensured the safeguarding of their most precious asset – their nuclear program.

This gave the Ayatollah and his generals a sense of impunity that was perhaps out of proportion to reality.

We’re all familiar with the public posturing the Iranians did for the world prior to Saturday evening’s devastating dust-up.

Last Wednesday, the bearded Islamic fiend was warning the United States of catastrophic consequences to be borne should Trump have our country join the Jews and strike at Iran. It wasn’t anything anyone hadn’t heard before.

Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a grave warning to the U.S. on Wednesday, telling the country it would suffer “irreparable damage” if it engages in military action against Iran amid its conflict with Israel.

“The Americans should know that any U.S. military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage,” Khamenei said in a televised address. “The U.S. entering in this matter [war] is 100% to its own detriment. The damage it will suffer will be far greater than any harm that Iran may encounter.”

His statement was also shared online.

“It was already suspected that the U.S. was involved in the malicious move carried out by the Zionist regime, but considering their recent remarks, this suspicion is growing stronger day by day,” Khamenei said.

Calling out President Donald Trump directly, the Supreme Leader added: “The U.S. President threatens us. With his absurd rhetoric, he demands that the Iranian people surrender to him. They should make threats against those who are afraid of being threatened. The Iranian nation isn’t frightened by such threats.”

Trump’s response that day was classically Trumpian.

…When asked if the U.S. is “moving closer” to striking Iranian nuclear facilities, Trump offered a non-committal: “I may do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I’m going to do… I can tell you this. Iran’s got a lot of trouble. They want to negotiate. I said, ‘Why didn’t you negotiate with me before? All this death and destruction.’”

On the subject of whether he gave Iran an ultimatum, the President said: “You could say so. Maybe you could call it the ultimate ultimatum.”

Responding to Khamenei’s assertion that Iran will never surrender, Trump said “good luck” to the country, adding that his patience with Iran has “already run out—that’s why we’re doing what we’re doing.” He did not elaborate on what he meant by this.

Perhaps the Iranians had spent too much time around US Democrats to remember what Trump did to them in his first term, because they were still so confident they could pull this off, use their Iranian bully threat leverage as they had so many times before.

The Iranians haven’t learned there is a danger in watching too many Democrats on X. If you believe what you see and hear from the ‘leaders’ of that nearly vanquished breed, it might trip you up badly.

If TACO Trump is already folding on Iran, the American people need to know about it.

That was the minority leader in the Senate three weeks ago, someone the Iranians probably thought was still ‘somebody,’ reinforcing what had always been the American response to Iranian intimidation attempts.

It honestly makes me wonder if this sort of mockery by Dems didn’t lead to what was probably a fatal Iranian overstep during the G-7 last week, and which I only heard about during last night’s NBC Weekend News broadcast.

To anyone who knows Donald Trump, this was a stunningly overconfident move and a fatal error of judgment.

Just in – that Iran directly threatened America?

Tom, tonight NBC News has learned that that message from Iran was conveyed to President Trump by an intermediary during last week’s G-7 summit, warning the president if he launched airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran could respond by unleashing terrorist attacks on the US by activating sleeper cells it has inside this country, according to two US officials….

This wasn’t in the paper, and it wasn’t waving a fist for public consumption at the UN and it wasn’t the old man raving in his chair in Tehran.

The Iranians took it to Trump himself.

You’ll remember Trump abruptly left the G-7 and had everyone in a snit.

Trump left G 7 summit as if something big was about to happen. It could be just that he doesn’t respect any country or leader in the G 7. From his comments, he only cares about G 3: USA, China and Russia

I wonder if, in their ego-driven fever dreams, the Iranians thought they had him scared?

President Trump was in Canada this week for the Group of Seven summit but left early, citing the conflict in the Middle East.

We have Biden to thank for whoever is here who might be part of a plan.

Major cities across the United States are on heightened security alert following Saturday night’s air strikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran, with law enforcement agencies around the country deploying additional forces to protect potential targets from retaliatory attacks.

The New York Police Department, the nation’s largest municipal police force, issued security advisories and increased patrols around religious, cultural and diplomatic sites Saturday night. The department coordinated with federal partners while monitoring for potential threats to the city.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we’re deploying additional resources to religious, cultural, and diplomatic sites across NYC and coordinating with our federal partners. We’ll continue to monitor for any potential impact to NYC,” the NYPD stated on social media.

Law enforcement officials expressed particular concern about “soft targets” including churches, synagogues and tourist attractions that could be vulnerable to attack. Police departments in smaller cities across the country also increased security measures, citing concerns about potential threats during summer events and parades.

But the Iranian regime has no one but itself to blame for what’s been raining down on them after falling so spectacularly for the TACO Tuesday trick.
