ROOKE: GOP Given Perfect Opportunity To Gain Control Over Powerful Elites

Silicon Valley elites seem completely terrified about the possibility of Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani becoming the next mayor of New York City, giving Republicans their best shot at reigning them in.

Mamdani went on MSNBC’s “Meet the Press” over the weekend to discuss his plans for the city and his views on wealth inequality. During his appearance, Mamdani admitted something that is sending the Silicon Valley tech world into a state of panic.

Host Kristen Welker asked Mamdani if, as a Socialist Democrat, he believes that billionaires have a right to exist. Mamdani told the MSNBC host, while smiling and laughing, that he doesn’t think there should be any billionaires, as long as there is a disparity of wealth in the U.S.

“I don’t think we should have billionaires because, frankly, it is so much money in a moment of such inequality. And ultimately, what we need more of is equality across our city, and across our state, and across our country. And I look forward to working with everyone, including billionaires, to make a city that is fairer for all of them,” Mamdani answered.

Obviously, his ideas about wealth and who is allowed to have it are antithetical to a pro-capitalist American nation. Still, the reason this is sending tech elites into a state of terror is because they understand that wealth means power, and without it, everything they want to accomplish is dead.

Billionaire venture capitalist David Sacks warned Silicon Valley elites that continuing to buddy up with Democrats is going to eventually lead to their demise. (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)

“Wake up, Silicon Valley. This is the future of the Democrat Party. Communism has defeated liberalism. Even Bill Clinton has bent the knee. You basically have two choices now: Get on board with MAGA or prepare to be on Mamdani’s dinner menu,” Sacks said.

Passage Press publisher, Jonathan Keeperman, also known as Lomez to his online followers, furthered Sacks’ warning, stating that the only way to avoid being a tragic victim of left-wing violence is to give in on MAGA’s top issue: Immigration.

“If SV plays ball with MAGA on immigration, including H1Bs, they’ll get most of what they want elsewhere, and no Luigis or Mamdanis. It’s an easy choice,” Lomez said.

It’s very American to think that capitalism is the vehicle for freedom. Not freedom in the leftist view, which often sees it as self-expression and autonomy rather than the ability to choose good. Capitalism, as defined by the Democrats, leads to a disordered country, much like the one we have now, where Silicon Valley billionaires take frighteningly long pauses before answering whether they want humans to survive in the long term. This disorder is on blatant display during the month of June when PRIDE parades around the country allow naked sexual deviance and the promotion of transgender ideology.

To the left, this is freedom. To the right, this is antithetical to freedom; in fact, these transhumanist ideologies are the greatest example of living in a cage of debauchery. These people aren’t free; they are slaves to their vices.

This false understanding of freedom that is being pushed on 90% of America’s youth in mainstream schools is the single greatest source of cultural rot.

There has to be a checks and balances system, which historically would be the desire to live a virtuous life. However, virtue is hard to find these days. Money rules Silicon Valley. Elected Republicans should seize this opportunity to bring Silicon Valley elite not only into the fold of the GOP, but also to rein in some other more insidious ideologies.

They have a chance to say, listen, it’s either our party, which is going to let you innovate and make tons of money doing it, but you’ll have to give up some of your transhumanist wishlist items and anti-American immigration views. Or you can risk it all by continuing your love affair with the left, which will likely send you into a Maoist-style death march. (Old Democrat Comes Back To Haunt Trump From The Grave)

It is becoming increasingly apparent that, to win U.S. elections, whether at the state or federal level, candidates require millions of dollars to succeed. Having billionaires funding these campaigns would obviously make this part of the journey much easier for GOP candidates. Still, Republicans should never accept their money if it means they’ll be required to sell out the MAGA base and the ideals on which the U.S. was founded. This is probably the trickiest part. However, Mamdani’s words on “Meet The Press” make this a much easier lift for Republicans.

The GOP platform creates economic opportunities for Silicon Valley elites to become obscenely wealthy while innovating America’s technology industry. This partnership gives the U.S. a global advantage while repaying the “tech bros” for their intellectual service.

On the other hand, Democrats have abandoned the everyday American. Instead of pushing for innovation and supporting opportunities that would give middle- and lower-income earners the chance to achieve the American Dream, they are openly advocating for “income equality,” which is just communism and socialism in disguise.

Mamdani’s socialist cause is giving Republicans the perfect opportunity to create an alliance with Silicon Valley, while also having the leverage needed to bring them to heel.
