A North Carolina dog groomer is facing serious legal trouble after a disturbing video surfaced showing alleged abuse toward multiple dogs in her care.
The footage, which has circulated widely on social media and among animal advocacy groups, has prompted outrage and swift action from law enforcement.
Kirsten Taylor, a 28-year-old resident of Mooresville, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with four counts of felony animal abuse following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Taylor was working at Classy Critters, a pet grooming business located just north of Charlotte, when the alleged incidents occurred.
The video, which law enforcement says was recorded inside Classy Critters, shows a woman repeatedly striking dogs as they cower in fear.
The footage is difficult to watch, depicting the animals visibly frightened and attempting to avoid the blows.

Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said the investigation began on Monday after Animal Services received multiple reports from concerned citizens along with a copy of the troubling video.

“The video revealed troubling behavior involving at least four separate dogs being treated in a clearly aggressive and abusive manner,” said Sheriff Campbell.
“A concerned coworker filmed the clip,” he added, suggesting the whistleblower worked alongside Taylor and chose to report her behavior.
After reviewing the footage and gathering additional evidence, deputies obtained a warrant for Taylor’s arrest.
She was taken into custody and charged with four counts of felony animal abuse, reflecting the number of individual dogs allegedly mistreated.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Taylor’s bail was set at $10,000. Jail records confirm that she bonded out on Wednesday night.

Authorities have not released the names or conditions of the dogs involved, but the sheriff’s office confirmed that an investigation into their well-being is ongoing.
Animal rights advocates are calling for additional charges if more abused animals are discovered and are urging the state to consider stricter regulations for grooming establishments.
The case has also raised questions about oversight at grooming businesses and how frequently abuse goes unreported. Classy Critters has not released a statement as of Thursday afternoon, and it remains unclear whether Taylor is still employed at the facility.
Attempts to contact Taylor directly have been unsuccessful. “We’ve reached out to Taylor … so far, no word back,” said a spokesperson.

In the wake of the arrest, community members have expressed their shock and anger. Many have taken to social media to demand justice for the animals and to thank the individual who filmed and reported the abuse.
Law enforcement officials are reminding the public that animal abuse is a serious offense and that North Carolina law allows felony charges in cases where intentional cruelty can be proven.
“This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable but criminal,” said Sheriff Campbell.
“We take these matters very seriously, and we’re committed to ensuring that animals in our community are treated with the care and respect they deserve.”
The sheriff’s office is urging anyone with additional information about the case, or other potential incidents of abuse at Classy Critters, to come forward.
As the investigation continues, many are hoping this case serves as a wake-up call and leads to reforms in how pet grooming businesses are monitored.
Meanwhile, animal welfare groups are stepping up efforts to promote education, accountability, and kindness toward all pets.
