Trump Slams Charlamagne as “Low IQ Sleazebag” After MAGA-Epstein Attack [WATCH]

President Donald Trump issued a sharp rebuke to radio host Charlamagne tha God after comments made during an appearance on Lara Trump’s Fox News show suggested that the ongoing controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein could weaken the MAGA movement’s influence within the Republican Party.

Charlamagne, whose legal name is Lenard Larry McKelvey, appeared on “My View” with Lara Trump on Saturday.

During the segment, he argued that the Epstein scandal might mark a turning point for the GOP and could provide an opportunity for “traditional conservatives” to regain control of the party.

“I think that traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back,” Charlamagne said.

“I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back, I really do.”

Charlamagne went on to claim that the Epstein matter had stirred the MAGA base more than anticipated.

“I think they know this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up,” he continued.

“The MAGA base isn’t letting this issue go, and for the first time, they know they can probably take the party back and not piss off the MAGA base.”

The remarks triggered a response from President Trump, who posted on Truth Social early Sunday morning, calling Charlamagne a “racist sleazebag” and a “Low IQ individual.”

Trump also criticized the use of “God” in the radio host’s stage name.

“The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne ‘The God,’” Trump wrote.

“Why is he allowed to use the word ‘GOD’ when describing himself?”

“He’s a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done – like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda,” Trump added.

Charlamagne’s comments also referenced the delayed release of documents related to the late Jeffrey Epstein, which included a July 6 memo from the Department of Justice and FBI concluding that Epstein had taken his own life and that there was no “incriminating client list.”

That determination had triggered backlash from segments of the MAGA base, many of whom suspected deeper government involvement or concealment.

Charlamagne characterized the situation as part of a broader political conflict.

“There’s a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party that people are not paying attention to,” he said.

While acknowledging Trump’s influence, he criticized the president’s economic record.

“Right now people are hurting,” he said.

“He campaigned on immediate change. Day one change.”

Charlamagne also mentioned former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley as a potential Republican candidate he could support.

In response, President Trump pointed to his administration’s accomplishments, accusing Charlamagne of being unaware of his record.

“He didn’t know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran’s nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy, where prices and Inflation have come way down,” Trump posted.
