‘The View’ Host Slams Kamala Interview as ‘Everything That’s Wrong with Democrats’ [WATCH]

Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert is drawing criticism from across the political spectrum—including from “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who described the interview as a “microcosm of everything that’s wrong with Democrats post-election,” as reported by The New York Post.

Speaking during a Saturday segment of CNN’s “Table for Five,” Griffin questioned the optics and messaging of Harris’s appearance on the soon-to-be-canceled late-night show.

“This interview felt like a microcosm of everything that’s wrong with Democrats post-election,” Griffin said.

“I’m going to CBS and this sort of trying to make a point that they fired Stephen Colbert, which many on the left called an attack on democracy—a man who was making $20 million a year, someone I hold in high esteem, but the economics of his show were not working.”

CBS announced in July that Colbert’s show would end at the conclusion of the current broadcast season due to financial losses reportedly amounting to $40 million annually.

His show was filmed in the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, a location that comes with high production costs. Colbert’s departure was announced just days after he criticized CBS parent company Paramount for reaching a legal settlement with President Donald Trump.

Harris’s decision to appear on Colbert’s program instead of addressing economic issues or more directly engaging with voters was seen by Griffin as a missed opportunity.

“It’s not where the American voters are,” she said, adding that the interview felt like “announcing your exploratory committee on the sinking deck of the Titanic.”

CNN data analyst Harry Enten also questioned Harris’s rationale, particularly her claim that she was stepping away from elected office because the “system is broken.”

Enten pointed to her decades in public service—serving as California Attorney General, U.S. Senator, and Vice President—as inconsistent with her assertion. “Give me a break,” Enten said. “She would be the weakest front-runner since 1992.”

Enten further speculated that Harris’s comments were likely influenced by poor polling data regarding a possible gubernatorial run in California. “She knows what’s cooking,” he added.

Harris announced Thursday that she will release a book in September titled 107 Days, chronicling her short-lived 2024 presidential campaign.

“I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward,” Harris said in a video posted to social media.

The upcoming book aims to provide insight into what Harris referred to as “the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”
