Newsmax host Carl Higbie confronted a man in Greenwich, Connecticut, on Wednesday after the individual was accused of allegedly photographing Higbie’s 12-year-old daughter and other minors at a local beach, according to footage obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).
AOL reported that the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at Tod’s Point Beach, also known as Greenwich Point Park. According to the Greenwich Time, police responded to a report that an adult male had been seen taking photographs of an adolescent female.

Authorities stated the man fled the area in a vehicle after being approached by others at the scene.
Kaitlyn, Higbie’s ex-wife, said she was at the beach that day with her husband, their two sons, her 12-year-old daughter, and the daughter’s friend. Higbie was not present at the time of the incident.
Kaitlyn told the DCNF that while the children were playing in the sand, she noticed an older man pointing a camera at the girls. She took a photo of the man, stating that the background behind the girls was not the ocean but a brick or rock wall, which made the situation appear suspicious.

“It wasn’t the ocean or anything like that. He was pointing it at the kids, and there was a background of a brick wall or a rock wall,” she said.
She initially did not confront the man but pointed him out to her husband. When the man returned along the beach, he allegedly pulled out his phone and appeared to take additional photos while passing by the children.
Kaitlyn and her husband then confronted the man. Kaitlyn said her husband requested to see the man’s phone, but the man refused. According to Kaitlyn, the man asked if they would avoid calling police if he deleted the photos.
The couple declined, and the man walked to his vehicle with Kaitlyn and her husband following.
A video obtained by the DCNF shows the man accessing his phone’s “recently deleted” folder and permanently removing at least nine images that appeared to show children on the beach. Kaitlyn then contacted lifeguards and asked them to call 911.
Greenwich Police confirmed that officers responded to the scene. In a statement posted Wednesday to Facebook, the department said:
“An adult male was observed taking photographs of an adolescent female on the beach. After being approached by others at the scene, the male left the area in a vehicle.”
The following day, Higbie tracked down the individual and confronted him outside his home. In the DCNF video, Higbie asked why the man had taken photos of his daughter. The man immediately objected to being recorded but did not deny taking the photos.
I confronted the man who took pics of my 12 year old daughter. From town property, without threats.
He lied and distorted documented facts. But I wanted him to see my face and know that I will exhaust every resource to get to the bottom of the matter. @DailyCaller… pic.twitter.com/6sfuskNzVo— Carl Higbie (@CarlHigbie) August 7, 2025
“I take pictures as I’m walking sometimes, but, obviously they were just all over the place,” the man told Higbie. “If I captured your daughter, I apologize, and I’m sorry. I didn’t like being chased to my car, but there are no pictures. And if I was out of line, I apologize, and I’m sorry.”
The investigation remains open. Police have not filed charges against the man as of Thursday morning.
Reached by the DCNF, the man said he felt he was being “harassed” by Higbie and declined to comment further.
