A heated exchange unfolded on CNN during a panel debate over changes to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the Trump administration, as liberal commentator Ana Kasparian likened the federal agency to the Nazi Gestapo, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
Conservative analyst Scott Jennings pushed back strongly, accusing the left of fostering hostility against law enforcement.
The confrontation began when Jennings discussed recent Republican efforts to recruit and incentivize new ICE agents through signing bonuses. He contrasted that with what he described as the left’s encouragement of hostility toward federal agents.

“Republicans right now are trying to recruit and give bonuses to people who want to serve in ICE. Democrats right now and people on the left are encouraging violence against people who want to serve in ICE,” Jennings said.
Kasparian quickly challenged the claim. “They are? How are they encouraging violence?” she asked.
Jennings responded by citing rhetoric frequently used by left-wing activists and politicians, including comparisons of ICE agents to the Gestapo, Nazi Germany’s secret police.
“You have not seen the myriad stories of ICE agents? Democrats every day are calling them the Gestapo. Do you think that that helps or hurts?” Jennings asked.

Kasparian replied, “Well, they do act like Gestapo when they’re showing up,” doubling down on the controversial analogy.
Jennings responded sharply: “Now you’re doing it.”
As the two continued to spar, Jennings pressed Kasparian: “I assume you condone the violence. Do you condone the violence?”
“No, they don’t deserve that,” Kasparian said, referring to ICE agents being attacked. “Those people who do do that get arrested, and they should be arrested.”
Jennings continued to link anti-ICE rhetoric to the increase in physical attacks on agents. “Why do you think they are doing that? Because they’ve been told the ICE agents are Gestapo,” he said.
Kasparian attempted to contextualize the anger, referencing communities like Los Angeles: “When they see their mothers or fathers or family members rounded up, that leads to a lot of rage… I’m not saying they should. That is criminal.”
The exchange escalated further when Kasparian added: “Let me just tell you something. Someone messes with my family, I get violent. That’s how I feel about family.”
Jennings concluded: “There’s a violent streak in our country right now,” to which Kasparian responded, “It leads to unrest. It leads to a ton of unrest.”

Jennings cited statistics indicating an 800% increase in physical attacks on ICE agents, attributing the trend to inflammatory language and political rhetoric demonizing federal law enforcement.
