Beta O’Rourke Having a Moment

Robert Francis Beta O’Rourke (did I spell that right?) keeps trying to be a thing. 

Newsflash: he will never be a thing. He will keep trying, and Texans will keep saying “Bless Your Heart” in the nicest way possible. 

This week Beta inserted himself into the Texas gerrymandering kerfuffle by raising money for the deadbeat Democrats who absconded to states more gerrymandered than Republicans could imagine in their deepest, darkest moments. States like Illinois, New York, and California. States that are gerrymandered so badly that even Pravda Media folks look askance.

Beta, though, wants to be a tough guy–are we on Beta 18.3 or something by now?–and he is talking real tough, dropping dirty words and getting into losing legal battles. 

Hochul the Hypocrite got steamrolled this morning when she stuttered into oblivion when asked about the Hochulmander – her last two illegal and unconstitutional attempts to gerrymander districts that were thrown out by the courts and the people of NY.

He raised money to fund the Democrats’ paid vacations to luxury hotels owned by Pritzker, until Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton shut him down by pointing out to the courts that this is very, very, very illegal.

Losing is so on-brand for Beta. Bless his heart. 

Beta held a (NSFW) rally announcing that he was taking on Republicans and intends to win whatever it takes. He claims that Democrats are losing because they always follow the rules (uh, wut?) and the time for niceties are over.

Aside from not putting his dollar in the swear jar, this kind of talk is…just talk. How much further can Democrats go? More hoaxes? More “Hitler” talk? More cheating? More mail in ballots? 

Well, they could run on legalizing every illegal alien, but I’m not sure that this is a good electoral strategy. A bit of advice, Beta, don’t announce beforehand that your goal is to screw every American citizen and replace them with illegal aliens. You are supposed to do these things AFTER the election. 

Democrats know that deportations and an end to illegal immigration are popular with the public and yet they can’t help but campaign on “we’re gonna let them all in and give them citizenship.”

The Democrats are scraping the bottom of the barrel, looking for more ways to cheat. As both John and I wrote last week, the new playbook is rigging the game in a new way: adding voters, adding lefty states, and stacking the Supreme Court as if we were Brazil. 

Unhinged: Democrat strategist James Carville suggests that Democrats simply need to “add” Puerto Rico and D.C. as states and expand the Supreme Court to include 13 justices to “save democracy.”

I keep repeating that Democrats CAN win under the right circumstances, despite the decrepit state of their party. Look at how Labour won in Great Britain despite being seen as total losers. Voters saw the Tories as completely corrupt and useless, so they tossed them out, giving Labour the nod. They regret it now, of course, but it can happen. 

So Republicans can’t screw things up so badly that Democrats have a shot. They intend to cheat. 

But can they cheat so much that Beta O’Rourke will ever become a thing? 

Not in a million years.
