The University of Central Florida’s football game against Jacksonville State on Thursday night featured more than just action on the field. During a lengthy weather delay, one fan took to the field in the middle of the storm and quickly drew the attention of security, as reported by the New York Post.

The incident occurred at Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando, where the Knights hosted the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. As a lightning delay stretched the game to nearly five hours, a female fan ran onto the field, weaving through heavy rain and dodging multiple security personnel.

Videos posted on social media showed the fan — described as wearing shorts, a black long-sleeve shirt, and a ponytail hairstyle — eluding several officers before one sprinted from the opposite side of the field and tackled her to the ground.

We have reached the point in this UCF-Jacksonville State lightning delay where about a 100 students are doing a conga line in the pouring rain around the stadium.

A second fan also entered the field during the same delay and was escorted off without incident. Both individuals were clothed, unlike some past field-storming incidents, but their identities were not released.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the fans were arrested or simply removed from the stadium.

The delay did not end there. Another video showed groups of UCF fans forming a conga line around the stands to pass the time during the storm.

Once play resumed, Jacksonville State held a 10-3 lead after Andrew Paul scored on a 10-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Central Florida, however, responded with two late touchdowns to secure the win.

Quarterback Tayven Jackson connected with Dylan Wade on a 39-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 10 with 9:30 remaining. Then, with just over a minute left, Jackson found DJ Black for a 33-yard score, giving the Knights a 17-10 comeback victory.

The game marked another long night at Acrisure Bounce House, where fans endured two separate lightning delays before finally celebrating UCF’s win.

While the Knights’ late rally will go into the record books, many in attendance may also remember the impromptu entertainment provided by fans during the storm.
