Walk The Talk America’s Fall ‘Red Flag’ Survey

Walk The Talk America has been working to bridge the gap between the firearm community and mental health world. They’ve launched their fall ERPO/”red flag” survey and it’s live.

Over the last several years, Walk The Talk America has been conducting surveys to better understand how firearm owners view certain topics. All too often when policy on firearms are created, gun owners are cut out of the conversation. WTTA has been working to make an environment where Second Amendment supporters and mental health professionals can find common ground and work together to solve societal issues. Their latest survey went live and you’re invited to check it out.

Walk The Talk America is a 501(c)(3). The organization’s leadership is made up of gun owners and former and current industry members. WTTA says that they are “dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and responsible gun ownership” and that their “mission is to enhance the perception of mental health among gun owners while elevating the standard of mental health care within this community.”

This fall survey is on “Red Flag Laws/Extreme Risk Protection Orders.” We’ve covered a number of WTTA’s surveys over the years and this one is the most extensive yet. At 24 questions long and digging deep into the topic of ERPOs, the report they produce from their findings is going to be interesting.

While the surveys the organization has been conducting are not brokered through a large company that specializes in data gathering, the results are going to be useful none the less. Hopefully over time, WTTA will secure the needed funding to expand their efforts beyond doing these surveys in-hosue.
