President Donald Trump on Wednesday urged prayers for Charlie Kirk after he was shot during an event at Utah Valley University.
Utah Valley University said in an official campus alert that a “single shot was fired on campus toward a visiting speaker,” adding that police are investigating and a suspect is in custody. Kirk’s condition was not immediately released, though Turning Point USA told the Daily Caller that he is still alive and in the hospital, but has lost a significant amount of blood. “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!” Trump wrote on TruthSocial.
