A petition to “Enact the Charlie Kirk Act to Restore Media Accountability” has reached nearly 81,000 signatures as of Sept. 15. The petition calls to reimplement original provisions in the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948, which were stricken at former President Barack Obama’s approval.
