Trump Thinks Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin Was Radicalized Online

THE OVAL OFFICE – President Donald Trump told the Daily Caller Monday that he thinks Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin was radicalized online and was left-leaning.

Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating left-wing organizations in Utah for a possible connection to his murder, a source told Fox News Digital. Trump told the Caller on Monday that he doesn’t know if the alleged shooter worked alone, adding that he was “radicalized” online. “Your FBI is investigating the potential role of left wing organizations in the assassination. I’m wondering if you think if Charlie Kirk’s assassin worked alone,” Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese asked the president.

“I don’t know. I mean, I can tell you he didn’t work alone on the internet, because it seems that he became radicalized on the internet,” Trump told the Caller, adding that it was his opinion from what he had seen in the news.

“It looks like he became radicalized over the internet, and it seems like his wonderful parents brought [inaudible], wonderful neighbors, smart guy, great boards, great marks, great student, and then he, something happened to him over a fairly short period of time,” Trump continued.

“Looks like he was radicalized over the internet, and it’s radicalized on the left. He’s a left. A lot of problems with the left, and they get protected, and they shouldn’t be protected,” he added.

Kirk, age 31, was shot and murdered while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. Nearly two days later, the FBI took into custody 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the alleged assassin.

Robinson seemingly admitted to the crime in an online discussion, The Washington Post reported Monday, citing screenshots of the chat and two sources familiar.

“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” Robinson allegedly said on the chat platform Discord hours before his arrest, according to The Washington Post. “It was me at UVU yesterday. Discord previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation they found no evidence of planned or promoted violence linked to Robinson’s account.

“It’s very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox told the Wall Street Journal about Robinson.
