White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller said Tuesday that the Trump administration will move to dismantle radical left-wing terror groups across the United States under a new national security directive signed by President Donald Trump.

Miller made the remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Hannity,” where he outlined the administration’s plan following recent incidents of political violence.

The announcement comes days after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, which sparked outrage after some Democrats appeared to celebrate his death online.

The president signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM) last Thursday in response, directing federal agencies to carry out a comprehensive counterterrorism strategy.

Miller described a series of violent attacks that he said reflected an escalating campaign against conservatives.

“We all lived through the unspeakable tragedy of two nearly successful assassination attempts on President Trump. A bullet came within a centimeter of taking his life. We watched in agony and horror as a crazed left-wing terrorist murdered Charlie Kirk just while he’s giving a speech having a debate on a college campus. We watched the UnitedHealthcare CEO get gunned down in cold blood. We saw just days ago a sniper try to take out ICE officers,” Miller said.

“What do all of these killers and assassins have in common?”

According to Miller, the common factor was political radicalization.

“They’ve been radicalized by Democrat Party rhetoric that describes anyone who doesn’t share their warped, twisted worldview as fascist, worthy, by implication of execution. They are using this language to mark people, to put a target on them,” he said.

Miller also pointed to leniency in Democrat-run jurisdictions as contributing to the problem.

“When Antifa, when these left-wing terrorists attack our law enforcement, Democrat judges won’t put them in jail. Democrat-led police departments refuse to arrest them. Democrat mayors and governors refuse to pursue them. So when violence is openly occurring against the targets that they have named and identified, they will not arrest the violent agitators,” he said.

The rhetoric surrounding political violence intensified last week when California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office posted the phrase “STEPHEN MILLER IS A FASCIST!” on social media.

Republicans criticized the statement, accusing Newsom’s office of encouraging hostility after similar accusations were leveled at Trump and his allies during the 2024 campaign.

With the NSPM now in place, Miller said the administration has formally changed national security policy to focus on left-wing terror organizations.

“That’s when you change the formal national security policy of the country. So President Trump issued an NSPM last week that for the first time ever establishes a national counterterrorism strategy to dismantle these radical left-wing terror groups, including but not limited to Antifa,” he said.

“President Trump’s going to find the members. He’s going to find the funders. He’s going to find the violent terrorists. He’s going to find everybody involved in these criminal conspiracies. And one by one, we’re going to dismantle them,” Miller added.

The new directive follows a series of violent incidents in recent weeks.

Last week, a gunman opened fire on a Dallas facility where ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations conducts arrests and deportations, killing at least two detainees.

The Dallas shooting came shortly after a 63-year-old man from Sacramento was accused of opening fire on ABC affiliate KXTV and leaving writings that named Patel, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, and Attorney General Pam Bondi as potential targets.

The White House has not released the full implementation details of the new NSPM, but officials have indicated that enforcement actions will begin immediately, with federal agencies directed to identify and dismantle domestic terror networks.
