Dem Darling Update: Dumbfounding Discoveries in ICE Detained Des Moines ‘Doctor’ Drama

The ongoing drama that is playing out in Des Moines, Iowa, thanks to Democratic obtuseness, their collective, reflexive propensity to embrace the worst of society’s rejects as their cause célèbre, and what seems to be a never-ending stream of dirtball, criminal revelations about their designated martyr, has made this fodder for the ages.

Holy smokes – the hills the progressives choose to die on that they get buried by instead defy all logic and description.

In this case, though, it’s so ludicrously juicy that I have to keep you all filled in on the latest.

If you will recall, just a few days ago, ‘Doctor’ Ian Roberts, the superintendent of the Des Moines Public Schools  System, was snatched up by those dastardly Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) goons in the most spectacular fashion.

Roberts fled from the coppers in a getaway car (provided to him by the school district that also paid him $300K a year), eventually winding up ditching it in the woods, with ICE catching up to him afterward. He – an illegal Guyanese visa overstay with a permanent deportation order, his $3000 in cash, loaded gun, hunting knife, and OOPSIE! A felonious criminal past to boot.

Des Moines is horrified at being bamboozled, no?

Nah. The whole town seems to be out in the streets protesting and wailing that they want their beloved superintendent back, and school board members are mournfully quoting his folksy wisdom in board meetings. 

The Des Moines Superintendent of Schools was arrested for being an alleged illegal alien, and instead of being outraged that they were hoodwinked, local residents protest in support of him. Leftist social media is in an uproar about “fascism.”

Someone (?!) even orchestrated a kiddie walkout at the elementary school, for crying out loud, within an hour of the felonious illegal immigrant being arrested.

The school board, led by Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, now a US Senate candidate and married to another interesting, disgraced Iowa Democrat official, at first voted to put the beloved doctor on administrative leave, which meant he could draw his handsome salary. But golly if the ugly truth about the fella didn’t just start rolling in like a tidal wave, and they were forced to forget all that.

It’s only gotten worse, or what would be characterized as ‘more embarrassing,’ perhaps even criminally negligent to anyone other than a board full of woke-oozing, virtue-signaling, diehard progressives.

Here’s that same Obama henchman, Jackie Norris, admitting yesterday that, well, gosh – they actually didn’t check that Superintendent Doctor Roberts was good to go in the ‘above board’ sense.

The red flags were obvious from the start. The board ignored them and hired him anyway.

This isn’t just a mistake — it’s dereliction of duty. The entire board should resign in shame.

MISTAKES WERE MADE

You know what else they ‘found out’ since everyone was at long last kind of interested in looking into this guy’s background instead of just his pretty face?

That ‘doctor’ thing?

Yeah.

No.

The superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools did not obtain a doctoral degree from a Maryland university, as he has claimed for many years.

Ian Roberts, who was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday, Sept. 26 and faces deportation, has long stated that he received a doctoral degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore. But a university spokesperson told the Des Moines Register on Monday that Roberts did not obtain a degree from the school, despite attending Morgan State from the fall of 2002 through the spring of 2007.

A spokesperson for the school, who did not provide their name, wrote in an email that Roberts pursued a doctorate in urban educational leadership.

Knock them over with a feather, huh?

BUT WAIT – THERE’S MORE

The debonair Guyanese operator also has a way with the ladies. Or had his way with the ladies.

Lots of ladies.

Lucky thing he fell into the cha-CHING in Iowa. He needed it.

He was more of an educational love doctor than a scholastic one.

The illegal immigrant superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools in Iowa claimed to have six children with five different mothers on an immigration application, three of whom were born within a year of each other, sources told The Daily Wire.

Ian Andre Roberts of Guyana, who had a deportation order from May 2024, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Friday, according to the agency.

Roberts previously tried to apply for immigration status after overstaying his student visa, which was issued in 1999, according to sources. The application, which listed his children and lovers, was later denied, according to sources.

Two of his children are 11 years old, while the others are 12, 18, 22 and 30, sources said, citing his immigration paperwork. The oldest child was born in Guyana, while the five others were born in the United States.

Five more little US citizens, thanks to Doctor Roberts, are now without any visible means of support.

Terrific.

Well done, Des Moines and every other big blue city that hired this master fraudster.

Different birth dates, different places of birth, and so on.

Whatever you needed to hear, Roberts had a story for you and in the most soothing tones imaginable.

As no progressive wanted to hear any of it…

No worries in woke Des Moines, though – they’ll still be out on the street corners this afternoon.

“Free Dr. Roberts,” hundreds of protesters chanted in the heart of Iowa’s capital Friday afternoon.

The crowd gathered to oppose Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Ian Roberts’ arrest by U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement Friday, Sept. 26.

Throughout the two-hour protest, motorists honked their cars in solidarity as they passed the corner of Second Avenue and Locust Street, where protesters lined up outside the Neal Smith Federal Building to express their outrage over Roberts’ arrest for allegedly being in the United States illegally.

Angie McKinley, a 27-year-old Des Moines Public Schools teacher who lives in West Des Moines, called his arrest “disgusting” and “heartbreaking.”

This teacher is correct about one thing – it’s disgusting and heartbreaking, alright.

But not for the reason she thinks.

I’ll bet they have even more on this guy by this evening, and I’ll be even more disgusted.
